Yea that's my point, he uses jacks classic so he needs to do something to avoid the taste of synthetic ferts. I thought you were all organic? If so, then no need to flush or boil. Just water as normal and harvest when ready.

It isn't a flush. It kills the roots and suffocates the plant, forcing it to draw the rest of its energy from the leaves and it also begins the fermentation process.

This "energy" I'm assuming you meant carbohydrates (sugars), but theyre not stored in the leaves. They are stored in whats called "sink cells" located in new growth areas (roots & buds).

If you have ever seen fans fade at the end of flower, that is what I'm referring to.

Ah, you mean, starving you plant of nutrients.
Annual plants don't need help with this. Gibberellin hormones will make this happen without forcing it.
Withholding nutrients will only slow growth and development.

Not when it's at peak, where you want it. This suffocation of the roots also assists in fermentation. That's the theory. Also, it's good for sterilizing soil for reuse.
