So far 2 questions had nothing to do with the topic at hand. I missed the actual announcement itself. Philpot may have inadvertantly opened a can of worms if they dont allow for home grows. She mentioned other substances have government regulation, and brought up the tobacco act. Well that act actually allows for personal growing of tobacco up to a certain amount of Kilo's

They are all skirting around the issue of home grows for both med and rec because it is not a 'benign substance'. Either is alcohol or tobacco, both of which are allowed to be produced for personal consumption. Do they actually think the public is going to accept that? Add in the fact that 100 years of prohibition in Canada created some of the best cannabis growers in the world, and it becomes clear that it is impossible to ban homegrows. I'll be writing each one of the task force members, daily, to explain the idiocy of their thinking. We need a task force to counter their task force.
Philpot wouldn't even give an answer for mmj other than to say they will present it at the end of August.

So they said they will have new MMJ Reg's ready by the end of Aug. oh and don't forget to submit the online "consultation" form for Rec. 
The last 2 questions was the phone in caller...he asked "isn't it hypocritical to allow home brewing of wine/beer, but not allow growing Rec MJ?" And...."isn't it hypocritical to only allow sick peeps to produce MJ?". Answer(s)...."premature to comment on what legislation will look like."....lol!
Don't forget the fill in the online "consultation" form....

THEY ARE INCREADABLY PROUD...
It is good to know these fine people will protect us - mostly from ourselves - but I do feel better now. What a great bunch of folks. I trust them - who wouldn't???
Sounds like a lot of new jobs coming out of this too. Specially in law enforcement, mental health, and politicians.
Annie says a lot has changed in ten years, not really, she was wrong before. I doubt that has changed.
