Good starter strain

I'm going to order some seeds soon. My room is almost complete. I'm going to go with a 4x4 veg room and a 4x4 flower room both 8' tall. T-5's for veg and 1-600 watt hid for flower. From my understanding it takes a few weeks to receive seeds after ordering, so I want to have seeds soon.
Of corse I want a good strain that will make patients happy. My question is. What is a good seed strain to start with? I will be using coco coir in 5 gal buckets.
HMMMM...if it is medical strain info you seek...and to be the best type of caregiver who gives different patients with different symptoms different medications...you may want to do some research and development here:

OP a nice question. Indica dominant strains are the typically recommended, but equipment wise you can manage anything. Great genetics are important either way, but man my vote is to consider a manageable sativa. Something like Barney's G13 haze, manageable, potent, highly rewarding. Four 5gal pots is def possible, top once early and time the flip. Keep understory bud sites from developing, help her focus on the main colas and have ample branching bud sites. Yumm..!

Sorry for the noob questions: top how early? I'm 20 days from seed.
And what does, "time the flip" mean? I know what the flip is.

I'd personally go with Indica strains to begin with since there is less chance of you accidentally running out of head space when you catch the early flower stretch from a sativa dom strain.

As for mixing it up, I wouldnt run different strains because they will grow to different heights and sizes and your canopy will be uneven and it will be hard propping the shorties up to be the same height as the tall ones. If you run one strain, they usually run pretty similar in size/height making your canopy more even and managable. Just my .02
Keep your .02 mate and take your own advice. Don't listen to this orangutan. You can run the same strain and have different phenotypes which means that they can be the same strain but look entirely different, some tall some short. Run what you want.

Are you disagreeing with hydrored that indica's aren't easier for a new grower to crop successfully?

To vague for ya? I was thinking four colas per plant training. OP do go with an established breeder like Barney's. Check out G13 Haze

I am also a new grower. If i were just starting again. i might grab a pack or two of fem auto , something that finishes fast for the flower tent, then probably wait 2-3 weeks before germinating the second batch. This one not auto Either reg or fems, your preference. Something easy like northern lights and use some training to get them just right for when the flower tent is avail again. At this point you can also start practicing cloning. Dont worry too much of mixing heights. Use upside down pots or whatever to maintain canopy

I'll throw a vote for DinaFem's Critical+ 2.0 for a beginner. Fast growth, very forgiving, fast flower, easy cloning, very nice frost levels, mold resistant, I could go on lol... I ordered a 5 pack from Midweek Song and got 2 free DinaFems (OG Kush Auto and Critical+) and picked 3 more great freebies from the list (Medical Seeds Malakoff and Channel+ and Bomb Seeds Cherry Bomb)..

Cheese and Rice folks...You say tomato I say tomahto....I did not particularly care for the way @StoneyMcphatter A.K.A. Stoney Mc. Troll said it before*** but most strains have differentiating genetic characteristics depending on the pheno-type of the seed. It's like a human mother having twins or more...they are all the same, but can grow up very different. To learn more about Genotypes and Phenotypes check this out:

Also for more strain info (including different pheno possibilities. detailed reviews, pictures and more) Check this site...

***Hydro Red is quite a knowledgeable grower and if you correctly looked at his reply and quoted it correctly...you would see that he did say USUSALLY have PRETTY similar strains.

You just became a member yesterday and have been running around RIU trying to rile folks up with unprovoked and arrogant attacks...just to have fun...which would make you a first class...internet-troll1.jpg
