Get r Done :hump:
What's good @OneHitDone ? How's things? Got any pictures you'd like to share with us of your current grow? Glad to have you here. You're not like so many around this section of the forum whom act like they know everything n don't even grow. What are their motives anyways I wonder? I read somewhere s while back a statement you wrote somewhere about has any of these COB users even used HPS before?!..
Almost all of them haven't but yet they make comparisons like they know. Further confusing new growers. They have no clue.
Anyways, just wanted you to know, I like the way you think & remain unbiased to all the BS. Just wanted to throw that out there. You keep it real & are always welcome on any thread I have going. Plus you always have good points to make.

Right on Brother, I'm enjoying your style as well ;)
These forums should be about sharing ideas and information and watching the successes (or failures) others are having with their conditions and setups.
Like you for instance: Hydro-Hut = FAIL, Amare = WIN!
Digging seeing the suncloak in action without a lot of Disneyland math going around trying to speculate just how many photons are actually reaching the plants
Maybe a sub forum is needed for DIY Engineer Wannabe's? It does make the led forum look like a bunch of arrogant cock suckers half the time.
Just let us watch some shit grow without critiquing the fuck out of everything!

This isn't growing with "other" lighting but it is growing in an "other" way
Growing big girls and gone Vertical! :hump:

Nah the cx9 are nonremovable. It's obviously a much smaller light in size and lighter than the Pro9. I've heard good things about it nonetheless. The Pro9 weighs around 40ish lbs. I hung it by myself but it's always fun trying to balance it in one hand and hook it with the other. The cord on the Pro9 is also a couple feet longer. Came with the lenses (those bitches are heavy!) But I didn't put them on yet. They say 48" with lenses so I want to see once the plants are in there might be tight. I'm using a gorilla tent so it can hold both so far, but the big test will be the 8" scrubber and fan. They say 300 lbs capacity but it already bows a little with just the 2 lights...
An idea! I would leave the scrubber on the floor, fan blowing in w/ 8" duct connected up n over your plants. It will work just as effectively w/o weighing down your tent. Scrubber will not even need to stay in the tent, using up your real-estate.

I'm not sure I'm picturing this right?

Scrubber outside the tent blowing scrubbed air into the tent?

Are you saying I don't know everything? Jeez man the pain! You and one hit always caught my attention. I like it. Keep up the good work fellas.

That will work, but you restrict the airflow without using the full surface area of the filter.

Point being, run it inside/outside the tent, -w- or -w-out the pre-filter. Whatever works best for your setup.

Put the filter inside and the fan outside and pull air through the tent. If you are always sucking out air then the pressure inside the tent won't let any odor excape. Only clean air will enter to make up for the pressure. This way will eliminate 1/2 the area needed by mounting both pieces inside. The only disadvantage is you may need to run ducting which will decrease air flow. Just my 3 cents.

Back to the show hybrid. Popcorns fresh and I'm all eyes

Yo @Rahz I wanna do the same thing that one guy did combining his mars and 4cobs and use some blues and reds on the empty spot of my diy. My gogreenled is creating hotspots being there and causing foxtailing. It's 30"x15" of space to fill. 2x Mars 2 700's would fit perfectly but they're expensive and shit. So what do you think the best route would be for diy?

Prolly just going to leave it on the ground inside in the corner
What I mean is this.
A scrubber works just as well whether you push air into it or pull it through it supposedly. I found from my experience using 5' tall scrubbers is that it seams to work better sucking the air in. The other huge benefit to that is that now you can put the pre-filter on the outside which works better because it is designed to catch the particles of Nasty carbon (black egg poo) so it doesn't enter your room & compromise your plants. Something I learned the hard way.
Putting the pre-filter inside the scrubber & sucking the air through works to but the carbon will enter your room. Yuck. Black yuck. Also, it for some reason is not as effective.
Always put a filter or screen over the fan so you don't lose your fingers & it filters heavy dirts n dust.
What I meant was put the scrubber on the floor in or out of the tent. Out would be better if you're not using CO2. Connect a duct to your fan which is mounted & screwed to the scrubber. Run the duct in the tent up high to anywhere you'd like.
Now the smelly air will be sucked into the tube, extracted out of the room, scrubbed & tossed away for all to smell Not your pot.
Like BigSmo said, your tent will refresh with new air at aprox. 745 CFM. So leave a vent in opening.
Or leave it on the floor in your tent w/ out anything but the fan sucking in & a filter over it. The fan is running @ 745 CFM about & is circulating the air faster then anything g else in your tent, hense scrubbing the air just fine wherever you place it. Good luck. Hope I explained that right.

Ha! No, wasn't referring to you bro. They know who I'm talking about. All they do is make it hard for new growers to learn & people like me that we're trying to learn about LEDs. And you for that matter. You seamed to find the right path faster then many of us though. You're lucky & smart.

I like these DIY kits being offered but it seams that if I did it I wouldn't be saving much money. But I'm sure it's fun. I wanna do that to my HH but not for $380 like that guy paid from PLC for the 3070's. Almost $2 a watt. I don't get it. And their supposed to be the best deal around the owner said.

Nice job! Do you go around all the walls like that & drop a few HPS's in the middle? So, cool! Do you run that way allot? How's your yeilds? I bet
Yeah, I think one of the reasons o didn't get that BS on that thread from know it all Data-Sheet Zombies was due to your post early in Daring them to contain themselves or betting they couldn't or something funny like that. Thnx for that! Could r been a tough run with all that noise. Been pretty good over here too. Got a good bunch of guys/gals here.
It's not all about me or any light here to. I'd like to help others if I can whether it's w/ growing or learning about these differant lights.
Are you running full spectrum in veg or just the veg setting?
Just the veg setting & a 4000k Utility-Tech. I love that shop-light. Got one on the HPS room producing a few extra oz. on the side.
The Amare vegges sweet. Crazy growth. Better then any other veg light I've ever used & I've used many.

So you don't feel the full spectrum would offer anything more in veg or just not necessary?
