i planted my new purchased seeds 3 weeks ago. I used rockwool to get me started.
First thing I did wrong was over water as I had the rockwool sitting flat on a plastic lid so I had no drainage. When the first set of true leaves came up I transplanted. I noticed that the root was coming through the bottom of the rockwool and started to grow sideways as I had the plastic lid under..
I transplanted into canna clay balls 18l air pots, then the next day I removed and filled my pot with 1/3 clay balls then the rest with canna coco. I did rinse the clay balls overnight in 5.5 ph tap water. Unfortunately I did not do the same with the coco.
The leaves were a bit yellow and dropping. Then last week I fed them with the recommended nutes after not watering for 3 days. That's when it all went down hill, I noticed the tips were becoming burnt and crispy whiteish. I then flushed with just a tiny bit of canna root stimulator and ph 5.5 water till I had some run off.
The prob seemed to get worse in the last couple of days, I haven't watered since that flush 4days ago. The leaves are not dropping anymore but are developing burn spots on leaves.
I have searched the net and can't seem to find the exact symptoms I have.
The photos make them seem healthy green, in fact they are actually pale green/yellow.
Can someone help me before I make things worse..please, cheers.

Hey guys n gals,
I have been following advice as given and have laid off the nutes. I did a couple of PH'ed water with a touch of canna's Rhizotonic flush with about 40% run off every 3 days.
Well what do ya know, they looking much MUCH better and have started to grow. There colour has come back with the new growth, the old first set of true leaves that were damaged just died off.
Am soo fricken relieved, thanks to this site and all yo kind folk who replied and gave some advise.
To think I was ready to throw the towel in and chuck me out and start all over, haha.
You guys really did save these babies.
Will throw up some pics latter on today once the rugby is finished. Cheers

Yes we where all noobs once just ask questions and follow a good mentor. Pm me or other certified growers, u wont be a noob for too long.
So just water untill they have 5-6 nodes.
Also lay back on the flushing for now and no chemicals at all untill you have 6 nodes.

Will do bro, I'm using coco so do you suggest I only water when top inch or so is dry ? Or should I be watering every day now ? I think they maybe too small for every day watering now.. I could be wrong..
You have been very helpful bro and will flick ya a pm if I'm stuck sometime, if that's cool with you. Cheers mate.

WOW DUDE! That recovery looks amazing! So glad you kept with these plants! Don't be to hard on yourself, this while thing is a process and myself (as I'm sure others) are always learning, learning and learning. I just recently switched from coco this season to try LOS and making my own teas. You're doing great man!

ya know ive never heard it put like that before...5-6 nodes...most people measure by time not growth...but I think I like your way better so ima borrow that and tell ppl the same thing...start feeding at about 5 nodes.
plus rep for teaching an old dog a new trick.

I need advise. Second grow outdoor greenhouse. This year I wanted to start with feminized seeds. I bought a Rapid Rooter tray and humidity dome. Kept on heating pad 70 degrees and kept in darkened room. The seedlings came up very long and stretchy with only two little leaves not four. Comparing these seedlings to my germination with paper towel method, the paper towel method and right into soil cup are looking good, not stretched and 4 leaves starting. Why on earth did RR tray create growth so long and stretched? How should I transplant the stretched seedlings....soil up to the 2 leaves, burying the whole long stretchy part?
Attaching a pic showing difference between paper towel germination and the rapid rooter tray. Any advise appreciated!
Have a great day!

Like i tell the noobs..lol
You can tank me later noob..bongsmilie lol.
Hey mate, I'm in need of some of your wise advise.
The last couple of weeks I have changed over to a larger resi tank, 60L to be exact. I have clean water and added the correct amount of nutes, canna a + b, rhiz, cannazym, calmag and PHed at 5.5 only a moderate strength of 0.8. I have a couple of air stones running 24/7.
I notice after a couple of days my resi tank starts to smell rotten and the PH rises hard in 24 hrs up to 8 and so I lower to 5.5 before there daily feed. I clean the whole resi after 7 days.
My plants now look sick, dropping with dead spots on the leaves.
What do you think may be the cause? I have a felling it related to that ugly smell from there feed. What can I do to fix this?
I will just have to make them a new feed daily for now until I get to the bottom of this.
Any input would be greatly appreciated bro
