Thoughts on this?
Looks like the taping starts in mid argument so we don't know who started it. Less important whether you agree or disagree with foodstamps and more important that people need to mind their own business. Also classless that he uses that kind of language in front of his young son.

So does the amount of people who abuse it (less than 3%) justify eliminating the program for the other 45,000,000 Americans who don't?
No it doesn't and I never once said it did. And you actually mean the 3% that they catch. Dude are you from north Hampton cause you are even too liberal for me holy shit. One extreme is just as bad as the other dude. If you are telling me that people who sell drugs and have money to wear the newest Jordan's, have the newest I phone, drive a luxury car etc should be getting food stamps and other assistance, then I am sorry but you are fucked in the head.

I grew up on foodstamps. One of the biggest things I ever wanted in life was to never take the governments dirty ass money. I don't feel most of the people who "need" them actually "need" them. I'm just speaking from what I've seen and still see. They should bring the actual stamps back. I'd accept them lmao!

Exactly! My mom was on food stamps for a while when I was a kid, and we needed it. My mom got a good job one day and weened off food stamps as she gotnus back on our feet. That's the way its supposed to be done. Not be on that shit your whole life

Like everything though it's real complicated especially when broken down by a case by case situation. The parents who are spending all the cash on fashion still need to feed their kids. It's not that kids fault his/her parents are completely irresponsible. That fancy shit is a bandaid for most people. Cuz fuck it being broke and seen as broke sucks a whole bag of dicks in this society.

your solution is that the system is shit but it is all they got so they should be happy?

How about 2 years ago, congress should have authorized that Vets can get private treatment if the wait times at the VA were too long. Oh wait, that would have been too easy. So, 2 years down the road, thousands more dead vets who were ignored and not given what they were promised by the government.

One of the reasons why the GOP is so fucking pathetic. They could have fixed this.
My point, monkey brain, was that the VA did experience terrible shortfalls in care. I think you were reminding us of how VA officials put out false information stating that things were going swimmingly well. It all blew up in the president's and heads of the defense department's faces. The secretary of defense resigned in disgrace and other officials have since been replaced. So, here we go again. False information was eventually uncovered and people were held accountable. In other words, falsified reports eventually come to light and malfeasance is punished. This actually proves my point that those government audits of the FDA's efficiency in delivering food aid is no small thing. Off-handedly calling it a lie is a lie in itself.

That said, the correct answer to my question is that by a large margin, veterans don't want the VA dismantled. They want it to be run well, which is one of the things Obama has made happen. Given the size of the problem, much still remains to be done. But veterans by and large don't want the VA dismantled. Neither do I.

Tell me oh one of small mind and empty head, where has it been reported that over the past two years thousands of veterans have died due to negligence in VA hospitals?

As far as GOP oversight goes, expecting leaders who believe government can do no good to be good leaders of government is foolish.

Why do I care? Idk I guess that's a good question.... Maybe because the adults that do this teach it to their children so it makes the potential for this to be a multi generational way of life, doesn't really seem like a good way tonteach our children to function.
excellent point . BUT i am finding it is the opposite . kids with shister parents just as often become great people who shun their folks shitty habits ...
but i will ponder it more ... thanks
