Jail Gets a Bad Rap

The worst part about jail is probably just the crazy people. People making shit balls and stuff. I met one guy that called himself the Oompa God, and that was probably the least crazy thing he said/did. And he was pre-trial released on a mental health bond. So they were literally like "You're a crazy person, you should be out of jail".
He should be out of jail.

We need better and more mental health facilities.

We starting getting the mentally I'll some help instead of locking them in holes

We would.be better off for it.

We need to remove the stigma from mentally ill and help.

No. We can't do that. Why?

FOR PROFIT PRISONS.

I have been practicing my religion for 10 years now and I've been a minister for 7 years, and they came with no warrant because I had always told my previous probation officer it was my religion, so they just knew I would have marijuana at the house. But they had no warrant, and they found like a gram of weed that someone had left hidden in our yard, so I could also challenge culpability because I didn't know it was there and l it wasn't found on or near anyone.

Where does it say anywhere in the Hindu religion that you have to smoke weed to worship or be faithful to the religion? Idk man, I have a feeling you have justvread a bunch of shit while you sat in jail, and now you ate ranting on the ideas in your head. If this is all true then you were in a soft jail, I been to a few county jails and did a couple years in prison for a weed charge back in the day, and 99% of the inmates would have beat you up just for asking about their business like that. Also, if this story is true, then it sounds like you are helping a lot of legit criminals get off on technicalitys, which is not very Hindu of you imho

The drug war is the " profit 4 prisons" .. I agree mentally ill people should receive better care though..but if you shoot up a movie theatre or grade school ..you need to die in prison, not some hospital..I don't care what the motive was..you committed a despicable act.

I'm glad you have an opinion and a feeling, but here are the facts about Hinduism and Marijuana.

Well I tend to not believe everything I read on the internet.... I'm basing what I said from what LEGIT Hindus have told me..... I do know that you don't HAVE to smoke cannabis to be Hindu, there are some Hindus that specifically worship Shiva , so they smoke bud, yea they are called sadu and they travel from town to town and beg and live off others their entire lives I know all about it, no need for another wiki link lmao. sounds to me like you one of those new age kids that think its cool to be Hindu or Buddhist etc. And still it seems pretty clear to me at least that you are helping Grimey criminals slip threw jail on technicality and loop holes. You read a lot, I'll give you that, but all your doing on all the threads you have put up is regurgitate what your reading....

Are all people that end up in jail, 'grimy criminals'? No

What's wrong with finshaggy knowing more about law and the legal system then all of us that know less and get taken advantage by the courts? I don't know what impact fin had in the clink, but I believe he was willing to help people and I commend that.

It's on PubMed. It gives not only modern Traditions, but ancient Roots. What you are talking about is Hearsay.
I'm not going to read the rest of this post unless the next one starts off more intelligently than the one quoted.

I am a LEGIT Hindu. So whatever I tell you should carry just as much weight as whatever any other LEGIT Hindu told you.

Again, I tend not to believe everything I read on the internet, I honestly can't say if you are a legit Hindu or not. I know of 2 groups of Hindus in the state I live in, one of them is a buch of hippy white kids who I feel are just following a trend, they do lots and lots of posting about stuff on line as well and talk about Hindu and drugs a lot... Then there is a group of ppl from India that live in the temple that they own and they read Hindu text and meditate all day every day, they don't spend their time on forums ranting all day... Just saying. Hey the one thing I can agree on is your Celly saying you should be paid for your services, get paid sun! If you think any of those dudes you were locked up with would do anything for you for free then, well, .....

No, not all ppl in jail are Grimey.... But if you read this whole thread you will recalled fin saying he helped a guy who was pulled over carrying an illigal firearm in his waistband and driving around drunk with his hommie.... You want ppl like that getting off on technicality? Yea don't violate his rights, get him off on some stupid mistake a dumb cop made, and when him and his hommie are driving around drunk next time and hit someone you care about then I wonder if you would sing the same tune?

Well I am definitely a legit Hindu. I understand there are random people that do Yoga, and random people that collect Crystals, or random people who talk about Chakras, and some of them may say they are Hindu, and that is no different than someone that goes to Church on Easter, or who likes to wear a cross saying they are Christian.

I have worked and hung out with plenty of people from India and had religious discussion. My last job was for an Oracle Platinum partner who moves the Governments records into the cloud and creates new Government software/applications, so I was actually 1 of 2 white people involved in the entire company, and almost everyone else at the location where I was, was there with a Visa from India. And everyone else we worked with, apart from Oracle and the Government, were actually in India.

And just as another example, I was at the gas station the other day and a Hindu guy said to me "What are you wearing?" because he saw my beads under my shirt.
And I said: "Rudraksha beads"
And he said: "How did you know that?"

Then I told him I was Hindu and specifically that I worship Shiva and am a Shaivite, and he asked when I became Hindu and I told him, and we just talked for a minute. He asked me what book I had started with, I told him the Rig Veda. He asked where I had grown up and I told him I was near Dallas and DFW has a large Hindu Population. He said that there are a lot of Hindus in Austin also.

I don't just Smoke Marijuana for my Religion. I wear Rudraksha beads, I read the Holy Texts, I grow Holy Basil, I observe the Holidays, I understands Chakras (but I don't focus on them, as you shouldn't), I practice Yoga and Meditation, I have some Shaligram, I plan on getting my own cows and starting a Temple, I am definitely a Hindu.
