Cloning Gel

I wanted to just post that I have taken more than 100,000 clones using Dip n' Gro as my favorite cloning hormone because its ease of use and strength. At its best, I would say that there is a 95% survival rate on take. Ive loved it and recommended it forever but Technaflora Rootech Gel has come out on top. I have only used it for about 600 clones now and for only about a month of consistent use but I have had zero losses for any reason and no issues other than algae.

Once I dip the clone into the gel I dip it into some Endomyccorhizae and then insert into rockwool cubes. The gel has shown very effective in keeping the hormone close to the plant material and keeps the endo at the stem as well. The clones have monster roots and tems and generally take within 5 days time. Awesome!

A+++ Technaflora Rootech Gel

I feel like gels and root powder are sort of a waste of time. I get the same amount of roots in an aero bucket of plain water just as fast as rockwool cubes w/gel or powders. Then there is all the misting, and fussing with the domes.

100,000 clones? o_O
I definitely get faster rooting with Rootech

I just use the cheapest root powder I can find, cut a few nodes down at a 45 degree angle and put in the soil. And all the clones I've taken are doing just fine. (Actually I lied, one I took didn't survive, I realised when I pulled it out it was sat in an air pocket within the soil, make sure you get good contact between the plant and growing medium.)

I tried cloning in a pot of plain water changed daily, works great for my friend but mine always yellow and die off that way.

I make a couple gallons of willow water and take roughly 100 to 150 cuttings every 6 wks or so with 95% success. Sometimes I use powder...sometimes gel. Depends on the strain and size of cutting. Back in the 80s we used just plain ole lake water and dirt.

I'd take the land race over the hybrid any day. A land race strain won;t root in a cup of plain water.

Stimroot #2, a yellow rooting powder proves to be best. Use as directed.

You used the dip n gro liquid? I used the root tech gel and then into the dip n grow liquid after, did 20 clones this way and not a single one have rooted on day 8. Have taken hundreds if not thousands of clones with Olivia and Shultz root powder with 99 percent I move from Florida and try these two products and can't get a root to save my life.

You know, just using rootech for fat stems at the base.

Feeling and 98% success rate without having to worry about bacteria in the bucket or container are two different animals. Plus I take about 300 clones a day right now. Roots on day 5-8.

sounds like an advertisement salesman pitch . you know I get larger roots using bacon grease . lmao .
Conjecture.

You shouldnt need to use Dip n Gro with Rootech, just one or the other. I liked Dip n Grow because of the results but I did not like that the difference between 1 and 2 seconds of dip could mean a super welted stem that splits or some kind of monster mutation. I used DNG at the 20x and the 15x concentrations for best results ~ 95% or better success rate. However, how long the dip was as well as strength and amount of stem roughing you have done (all can be variable depending if a cloner cares or not) has varying results. Using the Rootech I just swirl the roughed stem in the cloning gel and dip in endomycorrhizae then into the rockwool it goes. I open the hoods once a day and only mist the hoods.

As far as opinions, I am giving them not asking for them. What you waste time typing on my threads is up to you. I pay attention to useful information and disseminate information from my experience to you. Being that I work in the Colorado Cannabis industry and have lots of production experience, I am giving you my opinions based upon working with more than 3000 pounds of production. 160+ acres of Commercial Hemp and more 1400-3600 plants PER OPC on a 2 week to 6 week harvest schedule depending on site. Willow bark tea works great, but probably impossible to use on a production level. Growing in your closet, basement, garden, greenhouse, field, or warehouse require different measures.

As with everything, TRUST BUT VERIFY. If you come to Colorado, you just might be able to tour my facilities. Can you say the same about yours?

Cool looking room. You must be desperate for attention. 100,000 clones? not in 5 years. even in that room.

Glad you are still a fan of Cloning gel.

*smh* this is only 450 plants. I said "I have taken more than 100,000 clones using Dip n' Gro as my favorite..." These 100,000 clones can be followed at the link in my sig. Clone area produced more than 135,000 clones during its life.

That's pretty interesting. Clones are interesting. I only drink Newcastle. I must have drank about 100,000 newcastles. I only drink newcastle. I am interesting. I have a lot to prove :D

I don't rough the stem just a 45 degree cut. I use to just use olivias and Schultz but didn't have it at this local hydro store. I also didn't cut these cuttings my neighbor did but they were left in in water. I always use to dip into a gel then a powder and never had problems. These are just being a bitch the tray seems to sit angled some rooters stay soaked some dry out in a day. You ever had one get too wet and the bottom gets mushy and soft? Ever have any luck clipping above the mush and recloning? Would just make more if I could but not an option these clones were just to go outside so if they die i don't have anything to put outdoors

When the bottom of the stem gets mushy its damping off due to any number of pathogens. I just take that one out and get rid of it. Most of the time it is on clones that have too big of a stem at the bottom, cuts that were bottomed out in the plugs, or had a small gap in between the cut and the plug. I have never tried to clip above the damping off as I would rather not have it in the grow at all to affect anything else. I see it, it goes.

Newcastle is a great choice of beer.

Alright thanks, last question what do you mean bottom out in the plug? My tray was just angled so all the water kept going to same side keeping plugs soaked and others one dry. Doing it to the big and small stems. I stuffed chunks of an extra footer in around stem so no light got in but am,curious what bottoms out mena as I did push my stem all the way into the bottom of the footer until I felt some resistance.

I'm a bubbler too, but prefer 'air layering' its gotta be the lazest technique ever ...lol

not used clonex or the commercial shit for decades,

if you want an 'real' orgasm try household honey in time

you will note that the M_Fungi react quicker and its antiseptic

good luck

or is this another 'concealed' spam post..?
