We share to other countries like Australia also. See we are Riddlerz and our logo is RG. Cause Rm3 rocks. Sure we all do it a bit diff but most of what we do is based from learning from rm3. I dotn want to copy him yet but when I get a big enough area with wind turbines I will have rooms doing diff lights and you better believe a couple willl be all t5 done his way.I suppose I should start tagging my pics with RG logo.

I think it is more my confidence coming across as superior, after doing a thing more than 40 years you kinda just know stuff, it becomes second nature. I have also been an electronics tech for 44 years and have a confidence about electronics as well 8)

As far as the flav o fav of the month strains,,,,,, they can be ok if grown right. The cut of Pink Kush I had was very nice, I made 5 crosses with it. The old school highs most remember were bred out to get these mondo high THC strains which IMO was a huge mistake. I have spent years breedin it back in 8)

Not saying there are some nice ones out there and I have grown a few but most that I have grown that are all the rage are not worth the time, and let me stress.....IMO. One that I see popping up here a lot is critical Kush and that was a huge disappointment for me lol. Yes you knew you just smoked a joint. But that was about it no more, no less. As for knowledge, I'm a 40 year grower as well but until a few years ago it was all outdoors and all for profit so strain development was not a concern as long as it was good and had bag appeal. Things have changed, now I grow for me alone and yup, I am paying attention lol. Not to say back in the day my blueberry wasn't a huge hit, it bought a house ;).

While pheno hunting can be fun, it can also be discouraging and what you described is why I breed. The seed market has radically changed in the past few years, seed banks poppin up everywhere and lots of pollen chucked F1's with cute names bein mixed in by folks lookin to cash in on the MJ legal movement. Gettin to where ya can't really know for sure any more ???

Yeah that nasty afghan kush hash plant stink you have in your bag seed OG chucks... :rolleyes:We can buy that cheap in hash form. And you think boiling roots and no stinking plants is ridiculous... It's ironic cause there's no way any dutch grower would run the haze or skunk varieties without a carbon filter. Might as well directly go to the cops and show grow pics.

Not that I agree with RM3's statement that happy plants don't smell, terpenes are highly volatile and emitted by the plants by default. It would be more accurate to claim unhappy plants stink.

I grew big bud from around '94-2000. Charcoal filters weren't really available yet. It was sketchy as hell!
I guess it was because i wasn't pro back then though:confused:
I only grew around 2-3k worth of light back then. I would've gotten busted for sure back then if I grew the size crops i do now. And yeah, even with those old dutch strains:-D

Maybe, but more relevant, it's a poor example not really helping your point. Big Bud was not that big of a hit in NL unless you consider winning cups an achievement. Big Bud is afghani x skunk #1 x NL#1 (afghani...) - from California... The remake from MNS by shanti, called Critical, however, is very popular and 'borrowed' globally by breeders. If you're into the bad sort of stink/smell, try Shit from mr nice, afghani-dom skunk x skunk... Should have called it SoS, same old shit...

The whole suggestion of breeders in one particular country having bred stink out is just silly really. Most couldn't if they wanted lol, and there are many different people breeding with the same stock, each with varying results. It has been mainly about taste and smell for years now, opposed to growing frosty afghanicas originally bred to create hash with little of the taste and effect the bettet bud can offer. It's quite amazing how many different types and levels of stink are still available in those classics.

Back to what I was saying earlier. Telling people they don't need charcoal filters is fucking ridiculous. Straight up.

Well I have some 70's Afghan X Skunk #1 beans I'll be droppin soon, you are welcome to drop by and smell for yourself 8)

I also have some John Sinclair Skunk#1 beans (yes original)

If you're unable to drop by, I'll have other visitors post what they smell

And in my book I actually tell folks to get the scrubber first then learn how to lose the stink, I just never owned one cause I knew I could grow without it
