I just suggested it because I happened to remember it after reading your problem.
I still use a small diy contraption I made a year ago.
Pretty sure it doesn't do much to be honest and I've been thinking about trying the carbon tote myself.

I tried the ona fan bucket but the chemicals floating around everywhere made my apartment air taste like plastic band aides.
That's funny.

I used those wax melters on my first indoor grow. My weed tasted like crap. Lol.

Right. I'm ocd about stuff.

I've had people stand next to my cab and not know. That's the way I like it.
Ah yes, that's exactly how I want mine to be too -- I'll have to switch to a different fan tho, the one I have is pretty loud :(

I was at a guys house years ago that had a converted cabinet similar to mine and yours actually and he had a unique take on filtering.
He had a 6" fan blowing directly out the top and into the bottom side of a medium sized tote. Inside the tote was a pair of pantyhose full of carbon. The entire lid of the tote was riddled with drill holes to let the air through.
Couldn't smell a thing in his room but I've never seen anyone else try it.
On that note, do you remember what that was like noisewise?

I've read the arguments back and forth on refreshing carbon in the oven. A lot of people said that a normal oven doesn't get hot enough. After three hours at 500 degrees all smell has baked off. After it cools I will refill filters and update how well they work and how long they last.

Odd coloration - that's just one that's exhibiting the purp leaf thing?
The whole plant has purple in it. Its had purple since after a few sets of leaves. The plant on the right is doing it.

Not just one leaf. Ive had cool temps at lights off. One leaf is complete purple and seems healthy.

May just be the camera. The leaves look good and feel ok.
Im not concerned about it. Im not joyed either.

I think its genetic. I thiught it was a c99 then maybe something from dinafem. Who knows? Could be anything.

Were there any type of fabric or nylon mesh inside the phresh filter? You know like holding in the carbon dust? I've been thinking about just cooking mine with a blow torch.
I bet you just saved $200 by cooking it though.

Nice.

There was a type of cloth mesh. Thats why i dumped it out.

I will bake the phresh but at a lower temp. I have also thought about changing the cloth mesh out with wire mesh. That would allow for future baking without disassembly.
