well welcome to everyone!! This is an aurora indica strain in her day 55 of vegetation from seed, started her in a party cup, after 2 weeks she went to a 5 gallon pot, and after 30 days she went to a 18 gallon bin because roots where coming out of the 5 gal pot, I started her in jiffy organic seed starting mix, when she went to the 18 gal bin I added 2 large bags of some local gardening store organic soil that forgive my memory I don't remember. Lol I also added 2 large bags of perlite, and 18 spoons of Epson salt, nutes none since she have been healthy all her 55 days of life, I think I found the sweet spot in my soil mix I just need to go back to the local shop and find out which organic soil I used., if I see it I will remember lol. Continuing., the crazy thing is that I'm only using 4x 26 watts cfls. Rt with lights on 78 lights off 70 RH 50-55 consistent with the rt., watering schedule: Whenever the soil looks dry but not bone dry, I like to water at the edges of the bin to encourage root grow and works always good, only thing I been using is molasses with every watering, plenty of ventilation., I think I really dialed my soil recipe since all my previous runs with the same strain always start getting hungry like after week 2-3 but not this time she's in day 55 of veg and green as a mofo and no signs of nitrogen def at all, no yellowish leaves at all only green healthy grow and vigorous, I have been topping, pruning, fiming and Lst. With good results., I also have 2 clones out of her and planted them in the same mix straight into soil without no rooting gel or hormones at all with good results, they are 10 days old and growing new tips., I will be cutting 3 more clones and put them to flower all together since the 55 days old mom started showing female preflowers today in a 18\6 light schedule., I guess she's mature enough, since I haven't change the light schedule she still in a 18\6 light schedule with only 4x 26watt cfls. I will be switching to my 600w. Hps after my other Ai is done flowering, she's at week 10 and I will be choping her this Sunday since she is 70% cloudy trichomes and a couple amber. Then when I take the other 3 clones from the 55 days aurora indica mom I will be throwing the mom and the 5 clones into flowering under the 600w. Hps. Of course after she recover from been cloned and the new clones start growing, so I say maybe by day 65-70 of veg. Well. Sorry for the long reading!! Lol. But I wanted to explain in detail., join me for this ride I will guarantee that its gonna be wild!! Hop in!! lets go!! @tropical

the roots already are poking through the drain holes. I will post pic. Thanks. toke on =====~~

This does not mean the pot was already root bound it means that the bottom of the container was more moist than the top half of the pot making the roots grow straight down to the bottom.Unless u live in a hot area that 18 gallon container will never fully allow you to let it dry out in between waterings. Which can cause root rot and a breeding ground for fungus gnats.

I suggest next time you use a big pot indoors, go with a fabric pot like smart pot or something similar .This will allow for faster and even dry time in between watering. It will always promote great root structure and root pruning.
Best of Luck!
