Are you talking about using it during "lights off" in flower to check plants?

I don't mean for constant light at night.... why would i possibly mean that.... I mean for being able to work in your room at night time. Almost ready to leave this site, nothing but negative people. About that CFL, good luck the bulb is just PAINTED GREEN. not an actual green spectrum, Have fun with herms :)

I'm sorry to see you leave over a trifle of opinion, but the fact is...re-writing horticultural knowledge,

just to accommodate your personal opinion in growing weed, is extreme in the max, come back to RIU,

once you have gleaned enough knowledge from other growers perhaps of your qualified level of experience,

many members here also belong to those very sites you intend to 'groom' be warned very little out there

would put up with your sh!t ...

good luck and come back once your first grow is complete,

just so we may swap notes

Be very careful if you're growing Big Bud and using green lights... I bought one of these http://www.hg-hydroponics.co.uk/active-eye-green-lantern-led-head-lamp-4016-p.asp and wore it once or maybe 5 times at the most and unfortunately my BB all ended up just fine, what a fucking waste of leki that strain is... just massive buds that prey for Bot rot and smell like cheap 1980's bag seed if anything! I can't smoke loads but this stuff was like smoking tea leaves man! Someone start a thread called 'Big Buds fucking mega Bollox FFS' anyway that product in the link I offer actually works for the odd emergency...

I'm not re writing anything, fact is green light can be used during a dark period, to not disturb the plants. And this is far from my first grow. Never had the urge to share anything like you guys all do. My grows have turned out fine. Without the 3 weeks of fancy prep work. And yes it was good weed and my yields were just fine. The same as all you using fancy shit, My original room consisted of no light reflection, miracle grow ferts and potting soil from the grocery store and i pulled close to what you guys do. so before you go flaming learn that just because you do it "proper" doesn't make the guy next to you doing it wrong. It means he's doing things different than you. Rant over. Peace.

Think that really depends on the bank the big bud came from, I have a friend that grows it every grow and it is top notch, bud aren't THAT big though, maybe his isn't even big bud, who knows! lol Have different strains on the way anyways, Dinafem original amnesia and strawberry amnesia, and nirvanas master kush

Chill..! I'm an organics grower like in chicken shit and saw dust I have not used bottled sewage for years and have no intention even going back

you are very entitled and encouraged to grow the way you wish, it just some kids wanting to grow a months supply in a pc box

and there dumbass questions that can drive any weed site spare, I too have had my own painted green bulb over my grow room

and have often wondered to the effectiveness of such a device,

the deal (imo) should a grower ever be in there in the first place and at such a time

I use a trick to my advantage, I lock my grow room in lights out with a bid ass key

not to stop the rippers but to stop me ...lol

Big Bud grows colas like my thighs man, its fucking massive and takes PK like a prozzie takes penisauras chap!!!. It has a very distinct odour which is like afghani bud from the eighties, I got 32 ounce off 4 plants under one 600 & a 400 grown badly! Dialled in the second time (no co2) it was splitting branches at week 5, botriys rot week 7 and then threw seeds the size of a good conker, bearing all this in mind they still produced nearly 7 zips a plant! I never did it again because although it yields ultra massive its well below par for smoking compared to the cheesels :bigjoint:

i dont kno about you but when im asleep i want left alone, im sure your plants feel the sameway!!! if your set up is dialed in theres no reason to go in there during the dark. but hey theyre your plants do what ya wanna do.

Get rid of that painted light, asap. Just my opinion. The paint doesn't give the light a spectrum change so to the plant, its still regular old light not green.

There is lots of reason. I work sometimes 18 hours a day I can't always be in there during lights on. If I could, trust me, I would. And I never claimed to have my set up dialed in. Upgrading my setup for more and better plants so its going to be different obviously.

Buddy it went years ago, last night was a prime example of wanting to get into the bud room,

I left my main extractor fan on all night, forgetting to set it to the timer,

I've been humming and humming as to whether or not to move the control boxes out

...Grrr...!

I leave my fan on constantly is it bad or just bad for co2 user's? I am a noob and learning as I go lol
