Masking your hps light from window

Is there a way to make the light from your hps light not noticeable from outside? I've got a tent in an upstairs bedroom I'm thinking about running the lights during the daytime and blend the hps light in with a regular table lamp. For the most part the blinds will be closed and the tent zipped up, but when I need to do maintenance I'm worried someone will notice the orange light and intensity.

I'm doing that right now with the panda film sealed air tight and a hole cut out for my exhaust. My ventilation is restricted because of how I had to put up the panda film with my tent in the way. Now its causing problems so I want to remove the panda film from the window and just leave the window slightly open. Once its removed, I can't put another one back up because the tent is partially in the way and can't be moved. Thats why I want to see if a light bulb will mask the orange light from the hps. Maybe I can put a curtain over the existing window binds. Sounds like it might work.

I have a board cut to the size of my window with a 6 in intake hole cut in it. Then i cover the board in panda film. The window is just the slightest bit cracked on the tip, dont need much at all. No light leaks whatsoever.

Try a few layers of black tulle fabric (lightweight) will block most light and allow air to pass through at the same time.
It also happens to be dirt cheap! :)

You need air flow, and no light?

Have you ever seen the inside of an exhaust muffler, chambers that route back and forth? Do that with cardboard over your window, air goes through, but light doesn't bounce around corners well so your neighbors wont see the light.

Duct tape and cardboard if you want to do it cheap. Foil tape works well too.

I once separated a closet grow this way, flower on one side, veg on the other. I had 3 turns in the chamber in between as a wall, never had issues in flower, no light leaks.

Would leaving my window open a few inches provide enough air flow? I'm going to exhaust back into the room instead of out the window. Would leaving it open in the winter create humidity problems?

Just put a inline inside the tent and vent it out of the tent and leave window a tiny bit open will create enough passive intake man

If u really wanna block ur window what u do Is hang some Venetian blinds tilt them a tiny bit up then behind that hang a curtain blinds then behind that hang ur black plastic unless u get full sun block curtains to hang behind the venetians
In the upstairs bedroom do u have wall vents image.jpgimage.jpg that's my full sun block curtain in front of my venetians and how I vent with out opening a window then just leave the rooms door open a little
