Is their an online stream available of when they announce the results? I want to know immediately when they announce it but I don't have cable.

I fully believe he will....


I also fully believe canadians can be fucking stupid and throw their votes away. Its about strategic voting people , I really hope we dont make the same mistakes as before and split the votes too much between ndp and liberal and damn idiots who vote green party and go nowhere with their votes.

Look i love me some green party but theres no way that vote counts towards anything

possibly due to where i live as well...i live in buttfuck no where alaska, mail takes forever to get here ...so it could be that

it sucks but what can you do

i thought Harper put the kibosh on voters abroad. Donald Sutherland was pretty pissed he couldn't vote

i still technically hold residency there, and i have not been out of the country for longer than 5 years


"If you live abroad, you may apply to be added to the International Register of Electors and vote by special mail-in ballot in future federal elections at any time.
  • be qualified to vote (i.e. a Canadian citizen at least 18 years old on election day)
  • have resided in Canada at any time before applying
  • confirm that you intend to return to Canada to reside by providing the date on which you intend to resume residence in Canada, and
  • confirm that you have resided abroad for less than five consecutive years, or provide proof that you fall within one of these exceptions to the five-year rule:
    • You are employed outside Canada in the federal public administration or the public service of a province – or live with someone who is;
    • You are employed outside Canada by an international organization of which Canada is a member and to which Canada contributes – or live with someone who is; or
    • You live with a member of the Canadian Forces or with a person who is employed outside Canada by the Canadian Forces as a teacher in, or as a member of the administrative support staff for, a Canadian Forces school."

you can still vote if youre abroad, just not if youve lived elsewhere for 5 years consecutively and you can also get out of it if youve lived elsewhere for more than 5 years if you meet some requirements

when you go online to get your abroad voting, it will ask you a series of questions, and it will than register you for vote by mail
