Do you use Advanced Nutrients?

I use it, and they have proved to be quality products. I use iguana grow and bloom as base nutrients, and I am pleased with how they keep things green and healthy. Otherwise I like big bud, and overdrive to finish. The other products I use that a re quality are Botanicaire calmag, sweet raw.

Just say no to AN. Over hyped and too expensive. Try Botanicare Pure Blend Pro (Grow, Bloom) and LiquidKarma. Eventually, you may graduate to organic gardening and making your own teas and enhanced soils -- IMHO the best tasting and sustainable way to go.

No need for AN products. At the end of the day cannabis is a plant, a WEED. It grows and adapted to every environment on earth.

All it needs is a balanced nutrient.

If you use AN you fell for the hype.

NOW, if AN is better show some proof. A real side by side comparison. Better yet show me a list of the ingredients and how they work different than any other nutrient.

For real, show me. You blabber a out AN and don't even know what's in it or how its better.

Sorry but you fell for the pretty bottle that says award winning.

Now argue with me. You can't. You will say "AN is better.". You might even call me an idiot. Guess what. You call people idiots because they disagree with you and you can't explain the ingredients and how they are better.

What ever.

It's NOT a weed.It is a grass in the same botanical order as bamboo. Otherwise you are right.

To the OP. I hope you've learned a little something from this. The letters AN are kind of blasphemy around these parts. AN is good at marketing and their products work, just no better than most.

I've gotten great results from AN. At first I burned the shit out of my plants, but AN wasn't the problem. I just a didn't understand plant nutrition. Since I've learned the ins and out, AN has given me just as good results as any.

Plant nutrition is all about understanding balanced ratios and EC. Once you understand that, and can read what your plant is telling you it needs, you can pretty much use anything so long as you keep the micro, and macro nutrients balanced.

I've even gotten miracle gro to produce "healthy" plants. I say that in quotes because they looked like happy plants but the only thing to get people more stirred up thy AN, is MG lol.

I started with AN because when I first started I didn't have a clue. It was what the hydro store pointed me to. I understand why it's easier for new growers to go that route when ignorance is a factor. It's just easier to follow the hydro store advice that to digest all the info that can at first overwhelm.

Since then though, the easiest and healthiest plants I've grown are either from Dyna Gro or a semi organic route I take when in soil. Both methods are super simple and a fraction of the cost with equal or even better results in my experience

If you ever get a chance in soil look up two products. Chickity doo doo (it's composted chicken manure), and fox farms marine cuisine. Mix them right into your soil and then you just water all the way to harvest.

Like I said, any balanced plan will work. It's a matter of preference. As you become more experienced though, you'll be like everyone else that realizes "why pay more?" And you'll also start to value the simplicity of solid one part feeds like Dyna.

Good luck with finding what works best for you

I hang out at my local grow store where there's two aisles dedicated to all the AN products.....two aisles!

Those that work at that store also grow.....and have tried the gambit of AN and other multi-part nutrients just so they can say they've used it when asked by a customer.

But when pushed.....they'll tell you that in the end it's all hype. In reality they use stuff like Dynagrow or Jacks in their own grow rooms.

It just makes more sense. Like just about every other product in the world, you'll pay more for big names, mainly because of the expenses companies eat to keep their product in the public eye. Marketing cost a lot. All the advertising, labels, sales reps, sponsorships... They all cost money and guess who pays for that all in the end?

Again, there's no denying that the AN line will produce great results. There's just no significant difference in quality that I've ever experienced to justify paying so much more.

There's also something to be said about products like jacks or Dyna that have such a strong following with no real marketing presence. It's speaks volumes about the quality and overall satisfaction of those products

If you want the most out of what you have, then get yourself a ppm or EC meter. follow their recipe but then dilute it and start off at around 400 ppm and slowly move up weekly. I usually max out around 800 because I rather play it safe than overload with nutrients. You can always fix "not enough" but correcting "too much" is a motherfucker.

Like I said though, most hydro lines are pretty complete and decently balanced so it just understanding what rate to apply it at and whether or not you need to make adjustments. The more you know about your medium and water, the better you can make the right call

Good luck

I used to buy all their products but later narrowed them down to the ones suited for me and bought coco blend products to suit my coco. And the Plants love it

oh, he makes sense huh? you're a clueless idiot. He didn't say ANYTHING that i didn't say. You are to easily swayed, that's why AN loves tools like you.
Chuck was one of the guys along with uncle Ben, kite high (RIP), and heartland hank that showed me the ropes when I first started.

Lol. I knew this thread was gonna attract a few idiots that couldn't handle advanced products. Like the last poster said. Buy an EC meter and work your way up. The way you act, you threw a bunch of AN on your plant and burned em up, so you got mad and have been badmouthing AN ever since
