btw.... not sure how long left eye has been growing but if her seed shell is stuck u may have to manually remove it.... i had a blueberry og seed get stuck in the shell and almost die on me. i sprayed with warm water let it soak for a few minutes sprayed her again soaked for five minutes then ever so carefully pryed her soggy shell off with a needle tip ( there is only so much energy stored inside before it Has to have light)
That's why you plant with point or root tap up. It pulls the shell of with dirt.download.jpgdownload (1).jpg

lol tap root up? thats just silly,,, for one it takes longer to sprout because it has to flip itsself, and the longer ur seed goes without light the more risk of it dying....

that may work if you dont germ the seed first i dont know didnt work for me , why not germ and let ur tap root reach a certain length first tho . then plant with root down and seed above less work fster growth and sprout... maybe stretching but if u leave room at the top of cup for more dirt (an inch or 2) then stretching wont be a problem cuzz u can add dirt.... and once u do that new higher roots will develope

btw. im not saying ur method is wrong im just saying that it 1.takes longer. 2.decreases success ratio and 3. a seed getting stuck in the shell has never and will never be a problem if u are carefull enough removing it (which doesnt occur 2 often) 4 and if you look at ur diagram the seed shell still doesnt fall off till after it emerges from the dirt.... but go head add a few more days to your sprout while im already popping my 2nd or 3rd set of leaves...edit: the growth inside your seed is what splits and ultimatly sheds the shell.... energy=growth ...light=energy ....time with out light = decrease in energy...the faster ur get to the light the more energy ur plant will recieve....if your growth isnt strong enuff to bust the shell then tap root up or down wont matter ull still be picking off ur shell, so my theory is not let ur plant use all its energy trying to grow a root strong enuff to flip its self, then bust thru dirt, then grow a little then shed shell....

think of it this way,,,, you and i both are uploading a video .... both of our phones are at 10%battery life...i put my phone on charge while the upload completes, u risk it and let ur upload try to complete with what battery u have.... whose upload is more likely to complete

Ok nothing wrong with different methods, just get the seed to crack and place it in the soil (crack facing up) instead of waiting for a tap root, make sure you give a weightless light pat to the soil above the seed. There should be no reason the tap root shouldn't pop out in damp soil when the seed is already cracked.Yes it takes longer, im sure you can spare 1 day.

a day is nothing mine never came up lol... to much controversy trying to decide the proper depth iive waited 8 days and ended up digging it up to find a black seed with no root at all... maybe to much water maybe not enough , maybe to deep, or shallow , i dont know .... hell rockwool cube cloning took 30 days for me as opposed to 5 day bubble cloning ...to each his own, trial and error is the only way to learn ...

i feel i have a fairly good grasp on seed thru veg at this point...my flowering has done nothing but fucked me... all my failures in flowering have came from bagseed tho so im not convinced that it was completely error on my part but ive ended up with 1 male outdoors, and 1 hermie indoor dwc that self pollenated and pollenated my other 2 that was in the room with it , ive ordered feminized seeds from a bank and just put my first one ( buzz light gear ) in flower 3 days ago i guess ill see how it goes im also trying soil this time instead of dwc, i know that vegging in soil was a breeze compared to dwc.... i hope flowering is as easy

plants will double or triple size in flower depending on strain
Thanks for sticking with me I really appreciate it. Im thinking about throwing left into 12\12 just to see what happens at the end of the week. Do you have any experience or tips for this. Next week will be the start of week two for me. Should i also go ahead and buy soil and nutrients?
