Hello, I have a question regarding which to use. I'd like to use kessil for supplemental with my HPS in flower. Im looking for extra support in resin production. I'm thinking magenta h150, but wanted to get some other thought based on experiance. Each plant gets about 2.5' wide and over time I'd like to add one h150 per plant.
I have also thought about going with only kessil, but I am trying to set up a larger grow and considering the plant count we have I need to make the most of what I'm allowed. From other threads I have read, it seems Kessils are great but may not allow me to get my max from each plant. My original idea was to use 1 h380 per plant, but from what I am reading is, you all are using 2-4 or more h380s over a smaller footprint.
With my calculations, if I put 4 plants under a 1000w hps its 250watts/plant at the outlet. If I use 2 h380s per plant, its about 180 watts/plant to the outlet with only 780w coverage. I'm not sure if it's worth the upfront costs. And from my reading only, the yield is not quite that of a hps.
If my brain is correct, I could do 6 plants under 2 600w hps and it would be 166watts/plant. Maybe I'm doing this wrong.
Wondering if I can find a middle ground. Ie 400 watts with 4 h150s magenta over 4 plants?
Thoughts?
