Parents!!!!! Growing with younger children... Do you explain?

Personally, if I had kids I wouldn't grow at home. Too many of my buddies have had schools call and say the kids reek of pot, break ins were the kids were actually held at gun point. I'm not in a legal state though.

But either way, "daddy" would have a normal job were he had to leave the house to work. And the kids wouldn't know shit. Just rent a house down the street
Seriously? What kind of loser sends their kids to work smelling like weed?

Do some of you have kids and not smoke outside or in a designated room with proper ventilation?

Dressing up like Jesus and having sex with your wife while she is wearing a nun outfit is legal too. That doesn't mean it responsible to have your kids participate.

I just don't understand how I would keep 2 large tents hidden? If I say nothing it creates mystery. I agree with not involving them, but they certainly have seen it. I really do hear you guys though.. I'm not saying kids should have access to drugs, or more knowledge than they can handle. They don't hear about mom and dad having sex in school, but they certainly hear about drugs. I want them to see my side too. I don't agree with letting them get involved, but like I said, I'm not about to try to completely hide it. I want it to be like its not even there for them, like its so normal they just don't see or register it. I feel like it would be worse if I avoided talking about it.. And I really only mean with kids that are old enough to truly understand.

I guess I look at growing and using the medicine differently. My kids have never seen dried herb, never been around it being used, don't get that part at all

No that's not legal, thats child abuse... Dont try to bait me with your flawed logic.
The point was there is no reason to have your kids involved in something that is 100% illegal in the United States in every state. You might end up with a Republican in the next election who renews the war on drugs against the public's wishes much like how ACA was passed against the public's wishes.

There are societal consequences to growing marijuana openly even in states where it is legal. The child gains nothing by being involved but the possibility of mishaps.

PS: Marijuana is legal in no states because federal law is preemptive.
Yes it is I agree there. But at this point as people we show we want change. And that our government laws are outdated old and sometimes stupid. Our leaders need to open their eyes and ears and listen. This country needs to change not just on this topic but plenty of others. But for them it's always about money in their pockets and controlling all the slaves below them. But we won't get into all that politic shit here. I mean crap look at all the morons running

It wasn't on purpose. Guess their clothes and back packs smelled really strong. He was harvesting. Got caught slipping.

Incorrect, check your laws. Alaska can have legal cannabis as long as it does not violate the terms in the Cole Memo. Yes I understand thats its still listed as a schedule 1 substance.

The state is allowed to regulate cannabis at a state level. Intrastate commerce of cannabis is allowed Interstate cannabis is not.

So its legal in ak so fuck off..

Good parents make sacrifices for their kids!

The real crux of the matter is you want your cake and to eat it.

The consequences of kids and drugs are documented the world over, what makes you think you wont negatively affect them!

2 large tents isn't a medical usage. I can pull a lb or more out of a 2x3 closet with minimal efforts every couple months. 2 large tents is a commercial operation.

You can teach your kids about drugs and soften the school propaganda but letting them help you grow is a bit much don't you think?

I hear the point about just choosing not to grow if you have kids.

For us, it was whether it was worth it - as buying it is just no longer an option. Not enough at least. We decided it was worth it to grow. And I don't know how you'd hide it? I truly understand the resistance to this though...

Marijuana is illegal in the USA. The states cannot legalize it under our current system of laws in any form. The DEA might ignore it (or they might raid everyone like they did a year or so ago even though they were legal per the state) or they might decide (like they did with the ACA) that your personal growing has an effect on the price of marijuana across the world. You might check out Wickard vs Filburn 317 US 111. Given that the power to outlaw marijuana derives from the Interstate Commerce Clause and the SCOTUS decided that growing for your personal consumption can be limited under that clause and further that marijuana's(and guns, and everything else, hell, the power to force ACA on the people in the country) illegality is almost completely based on that - any growing of marijuana in the USA is illegal.
