Donald Trump Leading The Republicans

Oh they say YES to more weapons and especially cost overruns!

The F-35 is OBSOLETE RIGHT NOW, but thanks to republicans, we'll be taxing our children's future to the tune of 1.4 TRILLION DOLLARS for the privilege of rolling them out anyway!

Just to drive the point home; that's the single most expensive defense/military contract IN HUMAN HISTORY.
I am so disappointed in the F-35. It sounded great in the early design stage, but wow it's a mess now.

Right now the white house is Hillary's to lose. The republicans aren't helping their cause with this group of candidates, not enough moderates to swing the needed votes to win.

Can you say server, E-mail and delete in the debate or will those get edited ? She may forget but we wont.....

Many, many, many years ago I had a great job at Boeing in Seattle. I worked on one of their military projects & we had a bright & long future ahead. I sat down & watched Jimmy Carters state of the union address one Friday night & watch him cancel the B1 bomber... I had no job Monday morning....welcome to big league politics

We need to be in the UCAV making business.

This contract was awarded at 'only' $ 376 BILLION dollars... and it's already four times that much, and climbing faster than the fucking plane can.

THIS is destroying or country, because it's not about defending our country, it's about fatcats getting richer by racing the future of the whole country.

If everyone knew how corrosive this is to our national security, the major executives of Lockheed Martin would be on trial for treason.

That they are not is proof enough that we live in a fascist oligopoly worse than Russia's under Putin.

Yet Boeing managed to keep the B1 alive in spite of Carter's executive order killing it. And the goddamned thing is still in our inventory today.

If that's not an example of endemic corruption, what is?

BTW, you were a peon, so you lost your job. You think the fatcat stockholders got hurt? NOPE.

It was an engineering nightmare from the word go. The idea that one airframe can be a carrier plane, a jump jet AND an air superiority platform is asking for a rewrite of the laws of physics and warfare.

Da Vinci (the other Leonardo, that is) would have a field day with it.

Boeing never built another B1 after that day...... That was just maintaining the ones we already built

I was quite sure the Reagan administration revived the program. Was it just for ops and maintenance? I thought the B1-b was the plane that Reagan built?
