Every year before budding starts I go crazy placing booby traps, running barb wire, placing motion sensor lights around the perimeter, hanging bells on the fence, running random trip wires, etc and don't forget man's best friend! Dogs are also a great deterrent and alarm system. I personally have two chihuahuas (who make great alarms) and one larger dog for the muscle. So let's all get brainstorming and share information on ways you keep your crop safe from the rippers.

I wouldn't want to call attention to an outdoor grow. Lights with motion senesrs might help a grower sleep better.

I used to want to sleep in the garden under the house until I made a way down through an upstairs closet. Now I can enter the garden in 10 seconds and bolt the outside door from inside. I sleep well now though every grow.

All great pointers, everyone. Keep your garden a secret (the less people know the better), Sleep outside with a nice pump 12 Guage (you pump that bad boy real loud and your potential ripper will be hightailing it outta there), Cameras (even if they're fake) will help deter the thieves, and lastly landmines those will do the job but just MIIIGHT alert the local p.d. and being a stoner you also MIIIGHT forget they're there.

When i grow outdoors there aint shit for miles in every direction.
No such thing as trees out there either, mesquites like dead bushes thats it. Plus im on top of a hill.. no traps no bells or cameras. Just a very loud doberman and a .308. Good luck

sounds like a great idea my dog luna already has a dog bed out back already once the corn gets tall enough she will be keeping guard and when it gets really close be in a tent great idea.

Wax rounds: Take a shotgun round and carefully open up the top. Dump out all BBs. Now fill with hot wax and close it up. You now have a non lethal way to defend yourself. Click-clack. BOOM!
