If you can find a way to live economically near a campus, just start taking student loans for 20 years while staying in school and nvr pay back the loans; It can be done. ;-)
My cousin had a ton of college loan debt and decided not to pay, he was even cocky about it, almost bragging. (he's a muscle bound bro douchebag) Then a few years later he got his monthly paycheck from his job in the oil field and the entire sum had been withheld.

He finally worked out a payment plan after that.

I know a guy who used to drive trucks for a living and every week he'd raffle his wage packet.

Him and one other doubled their money every week. Everyone else lost a tenner or something.

That's the sort of gambling I approve of. Builds team spirit.

When I was 19, I won $365,792 after taxes on SuperLotto.

When I was 21, I won $22,943 after taxes on a slot machine in Vegas

When I was 25, I hit Mega jackpot for 5 numbers, no mega...Won $162,322 after taxes.

I'm 31 and broke. I currently spend about 10K a year on gambling. I threw away all the money I won on drugs, food, traveling to exotic places(often to gamble), and more gambling.

Yeah, over half a million in the past 12 years pissed away on gambling.

But no, I don't think I have a problem.

none of this is true

I witnessed it tonight. Stopped at the gas station on my way home to get a coffee and a middle age woman was berating the clerk for being the only one working because apparently he only sells her losing tickets. She was dead shit serious and pissed that he was the only one there. Know anyone with a problem? I found the whole spectacle quite sad really.
Haha, ffs that's all kinds of crazy.

"You only sell me losing tickets" is she serious?

I once had a black dude tell me the company I work for gave him a longer cheque clearance timescale because he was black! As though we have some kind of special black guy cheque clearance button. They made us get rid of those years ago.

I do like to gamble from time to time. My gf and I have a nice timeshare in Vegas we visit once a year, but it doesn't have a casino. As a matter of fact, the ast 5 or so times I was in Vegas I probably spent less than 200 dollars gambling each trip, and this is over the course of a couple years...

I guess I just like the debauchery of the town now, and less the gambling aspect..haha

When the wife and I got married in Vegas, that's all we did was gamble. I mean it's Vegas, when in Rome ya know. I played slots the whole time and had the sexy waitresses bring me free drinks. I left about $450 up actually. My wife pretty much just played Roulette. And lost thousands. I'm guessing. We don't talk about it lol.

Spain were the inventors and creators of lotteries as we know them. People are fucking NUTS out here on that shit. shops that selling winning tickets become famous. Old grandmas will travel acr4oss spain to go to certain shops and buy tickets. Some people spend like 100 euro every payday on the big on el gordo in january. There little refugee type people who push them to you on streets and poutside markets. There shitty little stands taht sell em too. Its an epidemic.

I like to play occasionally and like to think how I'd spend it. Its worth the 5 bucks. My uncle won 100,000 but he plays between 50 and 100 dollars a week...too rich for my blood. If I do ever win the big prize Ima go back to school and be a perpetual student.
Why wait?

I hate scratch offs. I always get em for christmas. $5 worth. Like just give me 5 dollars!

I don't like playing a game that only has a 1/1000 chance to win $1. When I have gotten 1 dollar I don't even go to the store to redeem. Pisses me off.

I have a friend who buys a ticket for lottery every week. Then he day dreams for a day or two.

No point in it. Work hard, find profitable ventures, set money aside, build good credit. Don't waste time day dreaming. Make a plan and go for it.
THIS. Life itself is a gamble, work the angles you CAN affect and leave rigged games of chance to the suckers. The lottery is a tax on people who are bad at math, and just because some are government run (that's a lot different than 'honest') doesn't mean what they say you'll get and what you actually could win are the same.

What's wrong with the long shot of starting your own business, working hard at your dream and building it into something? It seems a lot more likely to get you the keys to an Italian supercar you can call your own than the lotto. A lot more satisfying, too.

That or marrying well... whatayknow, ANOTHER gamble!

If people would just set aside 10-20% of their paycheck into a savings account they would be better prepared for emergencies.

20 bucks a week should be doable for everyone. 20 x 56 = 1120 After a couple years and saving part of your tax return you would have enough to go down on a 60-70k house and own a house instead of just renting.

If you are low income you only need 3.5% down and closing costs. PITI (principal, interest, tax, insurance) is 600-700. Rent for shitty, drafty, thin walled apartments is that much!

Save up 6k and get a house! You get more money back from taxes when you own property. I believe just from credit of taxes paid for property I got 1000 extra.

If you can't afford to set aside 20 bucks a week, you should get a roommate an extra job or something. Go door to door offering to shovel people's driveways or clear up their leaves for 10 bucks.

Strangely enough I'm doing exactly what I wanted to do at this time in my life. I just didn't plan it this way Ty...a few mill would be nice to have but shit...I'd just give it away anyway.
The point I'm making is that if you know what you want to do with your life if you had the money, then get to doing it- you can find the money if you're motivated enough.

There's nowhere I'd rather be, nothing I'd rather be doing than what I'm doing. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go do some more of it!
