Is that plant actually a polyploid Mo? I always thought triploids were sterile, or are you calling it that because it has the 3 leaf thing going on.

I always like when plants have whorled phyllotaxy but they usually went away after a few nodes with me. I started a mainline one time with three branches coming out of the main hub, I ended up screwing it up by breaking a branch off accidentally.

I think I need to get some C99 seeds, I have been wanting to try it for a while now. After see what a nice job Chroni here did I'm for sure going to pick some up, those are some frosty looking specimens.

Really happy with it....itz a stayer in my stable. Want to try some of the other offeringz from Female Seeds now...

Harvest will be this evening....dinner with the inlawz 1st.... :)

Haha, I already went and got some C99 seeds because of @Chronikool 's grow here!!:) I hope to get them soon...should be germinating in late february:)

C99 is a great example of backcrossing and stabilizing a strain. Every grow I have seen of this strain makes me want to grow it! It is always so beautiful.

One of the strains in the triploid's heritage is allegedly a strain called triangle that came out of some old school Florida cuttings.. I wonder whether it was a triploid and that is why they called it triangle? I need to read up on my plant biology and make sure I am using the correct terminology. I may just call it Triangle from now on.

I will collect the pollen and try it on some of its siblings.

I am still a little slow. I celebrated my BD hard last night :)

iiiiiiiiii

Cheers,
Mo

what size is the tent and where did ypu get the sheet of aluminum? whats the thickness of the sheet?

800mm High x 800mm deep and 1600mm long.... tent flipped on itz side.

local aluminum stockist cut it for me...6mm thick
Chronikool, could I bother you for some shitty advice? :)

I would like to build a custom LED array for a micro build.

Curious on your thoughts on the subject. (Led colors- whitevred/blue, plant sizes/timings, watts/ft, mini-scrubbers/silent fans or anything else you've found important)

Still looking into it so I may find answers, always more efficient to learn from others though. :)

Right now I'm thinking about a large pc tower or small cabinet with a bunch of single cola 12'' plants under like 20-50 watts of leds. Not sure how I'm gonna do the scrubber, the fan and filter I have now are a bit large/noisy for such a setup unless I run it on a voltage regulator and downsize the scrubber.

Thatz what im here for....and im glad you got the point of my postz and threadz.... :)

So yeah.....i have a PC case

Never did put a scrubber on mine....

Had a few revisions....https://www.rollitup.org/t/chronikoolz-stripped-lite-peep-show.567470/

it now standz looking like this..... did a blue experiment on flowering or something...cant remember where that thread is....

Runs at 50 ish watts i think...

But the blue helps to keep things nice and short...which is important for micro grows....

Thanks, will read in detail.

Do you still consider those spectrum's the best mix? I see a lot of people growing pure white now-n-days, everything in the past was always strict red and blue.

Does that sheet keep the leds sufficiently cool? They have lots of finned heatsinks like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/High-Power-LED-aluminum-Heatsink-300mm-25mm-12mm-for-1W-3W-5W-led-emitter-diodes-/321646625597
That one would imagine would cool better.

Did you have a mechanism for raising/lowering the led panel?

What do you consider the best brand/models for leds? 1watt vs 3watt vs 5 watt and what online store do you buy them from?

How many watts do you think is ideal per square foot? I know LED people measure things differently.

I've looked around and found 2 potential options for cooling small spaces such as a PC. I will either try one of the Cup-mini-scrubber designs, or there was another one that's just a flat 120mmx120mm carbon box you would stack on top of a pc fan. I was thinking I could do one of those in a layered design to help overcome the pc fans inherit lack of backpressure. I also have a larger inline fan if need be but I would need to look into options for reducing its voltage. (It would also take up valuable growing space)

Not really...but yes in this micro grow.... the reason that there is blue in there is because i was doing a blue experiment for initiating flowering. And you want to keep plantz short.

Maybe try a pair of 4000k 2350 cxbs by cree...should be ample light and simple construction

Yeah itz really cool...think the leds are run at 700mA in my case. And also...i was able to save vertical space (more plant growth) by having my sink hard up on the ceiling...6mm solid remember

Did you have a mechanism for raising/lowering the led panel?
No need....no pointz of light to burn plants...and keepz thingz simple

What do you consider the best brand/models for leds? 1watt vs 3watt vs 5 watt and what online store do you buy them from?
Cree. Ok....got to try change the way you look at this. Cree for example have a xm-l2 led. It is 10w IF run at 3A....it is only 5w if run at 1500mA...so it dependz how hard you run them.
Got mine at fasttech i think

I dont really care....my plantz will tell me if they need more light... :)
