Lux readings from an Arduino. Taken from a Vero 29 3000k COB. Powered at 500mA's.

Have you considered the TSL235 for measuring spectrum and a " "2561 to measure lux?..........
Both are I2C.....or one of the big boys like the TSL1402 http://playground.arduino.cc/Main/TSL1402R


I have the BH1750 on the way, I think it is I2C as well, but it doesn't seem as capable as the TSL2561.....

I also am going to pick up the TSL235 or maybe the GPW34 from Osram.....still reading, any input?

the don.....I go 4 weeks or so. Mainly from seed over the last 6 months or so....I don't veg too long or they stretch too much in my cab

for its size, I am getting some decent flowers....today though, begins a new era!

All my Cobs are going in and the LED bulbs are all going bye bye....

I am going from 28 PAR watts to 49 PAR watts in the same 3.5 sq. ft... should be a blast!

i almost went that route with a mounting bracket, i like the use of angle and box aluminium, really clean. that was pretty much my exact plan untill my weird idea popped in place.

Thanks! just tried to make it simple and make it able to get everything [or just about] from one place like Home Depot or any hardware store....

but....I have looking for a while, for an aluminium box to house the fixture, but I still haven't found what I want....I keep looking on Ebay and Craigslist and scrapyards, 2nd hand, etc....always on the lookout for more used shit, hahah

I can have a custom box built for it, but its spendy, so I haven't gone that route....$10 for 8 feet of 3/4 in Aluminum angle,,,fits in my crappy budget

Zoltan literally beat me by an hour in posting tonight, love how the Micro Section is evolving!

Got mine done 2nite as well and couldn't be happier....I just gained about a foot of headspace...surreal almost, like a naked cabinet

Hey a very lean and simple idea! If you're going the Arctic Alpine 11 (CPU Cooler) route mounted to an aluminum angle frame, why bother with extravagant boxes? That looks really sturdy and the aluminum will real be real easy to mount hangers on and look good too. I think I may have to hijack your design sir!

I used 1 stick of this from Home Depot $9.96

I would have Preferred thicker, but I only had $10 at the time, at this really worked out WAY above my expectations....

Hangers are also sourced from the Home Depot...cheap

I was also able to basically box in my smallest heatsink and since it is aluminum framing, now it acts as a heatsink too, when snug



up against the Glacial Tech.

I just used Wago 224-412's to connect each wire... Load, Neutral and Ground....also mounted this outside my cabinet and actually lifted off the cabinet as well with rubber spacers....all in the name of heat and Driver longevity.....



Here's a top look at my fan wiring...Fan circuit is parallel wiring....Nokia 5v 1000mA phone charger does the business. Just put everything into a little hobbybox with a 2 way piece of terminal strip for Positive and Negative wires...

I run all of my fans @ 5v due to the extensive testing of @SupraSPL .....which now I forget which thread its in, but I will link it

Your build looks really clean and well put together.. I like the way you mounted everything to the pieces of aluminum angle, it makes everything one unit but still allows for plenty of air movement around all of the components.. I may have to gank your design for my build..

Thanks! and you should take it and improve on it......

I could have easily gone with a thicker piece of aluminum angle but I had no money .....and I was too anxious to finish....

But it came out really manageable to hang and work with...the two pieces on the bottom, that point down are the "feet"...just in case, it ever fell and landed on its face, they might protect the cobs, plus you can set it down on a surface somewhere without fustercluckin the cobs...

In the first pic in the OP, what are the smaller screw in looking LED lights you're using on the sides? Thanks in advance man!

Those smaller bulbs are Phillips 10.5 watt 3k LED bulbs...they just have the diffuser removed, to get as much light as possible to the canopy...

I am having trouble finding a link for these bulbs, most of the phillips have that funky swell swape, so these are almost 2 years old now...

Someone recently was posting in the LED section and they just bought similar bulbs @home Depot, can't vouch for their quality....new bulbs seem to be cutting corners, but better than CFL's!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use/used CFLS so I am allowed to say that.....i think

Thanks, I saw some similar ones at Menards and was wondering if they could be of any use. I've never been in the 503 area code but my girlfriend has a lot of family in Washington state, so you never know!
