Yes, but only need to get that if you live in the northern half or so of the country, only where the temps can be cool enough to condense the water despite the airflow. Does help with detection too in some cases though.

Way more than enough for my 4x8 room with over 2000 watts in lights, I run it at the middle of the adjustment on the same speed controller you linked to.

My setup is goofy DIY. I run 1200w of DIY LED lighting with water cooling (car radiator in garage) running in the rack. I also run 2 CHM fixtures and 200w of Tanning bulbs for UVB. I only have the one exhaust fan, plus a small clip on fan for moving air in the room. Intake is passive.from a neighboring open room.

I didn't, I built one.

Parts:
A 1x4 or 1x6 board.
Mylar to wrap the board
Ballast (workhorse 8 )
4x Florescent bi-pole sockets
A power cord and wire connectors.
4x UVB 9.9% Bronzing Bulbs (sam's club sells them online)

Most people go the easier route of just using T5, T8, or CFL reptile bulbs though. Make sure reflector is metallic, not white.

i didnt include fan speed controller, smart pots, botanicare nutes(liq karma, pure blend grow and bloom, and zho), temp/hum monitor, and a 8x4 sj 2 tent i found on craigslist. i still gotta decide on soil(maybe roots organic) , timers, and my (favorite part) clones (leaning towards blueberry and diesel possibly). Anyone think that would be to much tent for that one light? i know its way below the 50w/sqft mark but with a light mover i thought it would combat that. id really like to put a 1000w in there but i read that i dont have enough height(7.5ft) for the gavita 1000de. i hear great things about the gavitas and im thinking there will be some unused space but more space(sufficiently lighted)=larger plants=larger yields.

No experience with light mover, but from what I found reading the recommendation is to consider it a 40% boost to your light. Depending on the bulb you will get between 90,000 and 100,000 lumens from a 600w HPS. You would want a total of 160,000 to 240,000 lumens for your space without light movers, or 114,000 to 171,000 lumens with light mover. So that means a 1000w HPS + some supplemental gets you where you want to be if you keep the HPS moving.

6x4 is 3/4 the space, you would need 3/4 the light... but would need to hang a curtain (mylar) reflector to block the extra space out.

The gavita run hot as FUCK dude. Like mega hot. A gavita in that tent will transform your grow tent into an easy bake oven.

Just buy any of the following ballasts.

solistek
the hydrofarm ones are also ok, forget the name..the ones with the stupid handle on them.

Just stop darting around and set up!!!

Thanx Legally. I read Solis tek and lumitek have RF issues. I also have read of a bunch of people running gavitas in tents but Id like to give myself the best chance for success. Adding heat would not help with that. I will go do some more research.

Solistek absolutely do NOT have rf interference.

How do I know? I have 32 of them mounted about 5 feet away from wireless blu lab guardians and there is no issue at all. Even the WiFi router.

You can always find a problem with anything if you Google long enough. Solis tek has excellent customer service. my lumitek interactiins have been so so. Solis also has the highest par output of any digi...so there is that.

Do yourself a favor and go with something newer tech than a run of the mill digital ballast and lamp.
Do DE if you can , if you can't do sun systems 315 lec, these are my fave beast at the moment but I've got a Phantom DE ballast held up at the ports right now, been waiting 3 weeks.

And yeah, even though rf internal shielding is used on the solis matrix there can be an RF leak anywhere in th e cordset and socket.

And I noticed you mentioned a mover, if your room tent is big enough hell yes, great idea. That's where my DE will be going, right on the lightrail.

I can't afford two de ballast and lamps and reflector. I've priced two Solis tek 600w with radiant reflectors and it puts my budget at its maximum. I still need some loot for the electrician, soil, and clones. I've read great things about Solis tek and also read about some rf issues. Not sure what to believe.
