Choosing the Winning 16 oz Party Cup Winner

I have officially registered to enter the 6th (annual? semi-annual?) party cup competition. The biggest problems I will be facing are low humidity, leaving my plants to dry out very quickly, and roots getting too cramped up inside the cup.

Anyone have suggestions on what type of strain likes the super tiny cups... Auto Flowers are not allowed and I have to get my entry in by the end of this month which means I will probably have it by the end of the week.

Something hardy like a skunk would hold up to the abuse but might bust out of a cup.

I had a super nice Ice plant from nirvana. It's a nice skunk hybrid so I'd think it would do well, I'm sure Females ain't to much different.

I would looking into some advance growing techniques performing root pruning. By cutting back the roots you are less likely to get root bound and this can be done during veg to get a 2 foot plant in a solo cup. Also look into defoliation, by doing this you're reducing the amount of energy your plant can take in allowing it to grow at a slower rate during veg.

If you are worried about drying too quickly because of low humidity, try adding some Water Cystals to the medium (just make sure to fully expand them before mixing them in or they will all clump together at the bottom). They really work wonders for allowing you extra time between waterings.

In that case it should be pretty easy to accomplish. Try and pick a show strain and disregard potency. try to get something with reds and purples like imoore said.

Or something that will get impressively big for a small cup. Personally I was gonna go for a purple at first, but now I'm thinking I'm actually gonna go with 710 Fools Gold (Big Bid x Skunk#1) because I have no real desire to grow it (It's a fine strain, I just have so many other choices I'm more excited about) and I think it will look impressive as hell in a tiny little 16oz cup

Yeah big bud is known to swell up so you would have a fat cola in a wee lil 16oz cup

Yeah, I have one seed of Grizzly Purple Kush, but the second I mentioned growing it for this comp my wife damn near threatened to cut my balls off, she wants me to turn it into a mother and take clones from it hahaha
