This is the thread to tell us how Obama has made things worse for you

Right. like none of those systems have not been abused before.

I'm not really bitching that much. I have never said Obama was a horrible president, I just don't think he has been a great one.

Go ahead and call him a great one and suck his dick because he is the first black one.

Being the first black president does not make you the greatest thing since sliced bread.
ummmm, no one brought up his race.

sensitive much?

Not sensitive. Its common place for you to speak of race, don't be surprised when I do it.
Electing a black president is not his accomplishment.

Let me state this.

Like some one else said: I don't think any one president has affected my life for the better or for the worse.

When the ole lady lost hours, no bid deal, I picked up the slack.

I made a couple personal attacks against you in the past.

Reason being, you make things personal and insult in an argument.

You treat people with a differing opinion as a lesser person than you, forgetting that we are different sides to the same coin.

It is yin and yang. We need balance. If one side were to truly gain more power than the other we would all be screwed.

Its not the waffle house. Are they union? I guess I need to ask your mom after she pays me for my services.

Yes we can thank the employer for it. It is a decision that the employer made due to new regulations.
You seem not to understand that a one size fits all approach is not good for everyone.
Stop quickscopin dem N00bz.

you seem fixated on the president's skin color even though no one brought it up. we were talking about your theory that we should remain unprepared for emergencies.

kinda telling.

I could care less about skin color.

We should be prepared. We shouldn't give all the power to a few in an emergency.
Whats to stop them from not giving the power back after that emergency?

yeah, you made that astonishingly clear.
See it how you like. I'm far from racist.

I meant it says more for the people electing him than it does him.

All I said was being the first black president does not make him the greatest president ever.
You act like it does.

You can misconstrue what i said all you want.
At what point have I ever said anything racist towards black people?

His skin color does not make him a lesser person. You, I am sure will agree with that.
If you do, this statement also stands.
His skin color does not make him a greater person.

i thought we were talking about how good it is to be unprepared for an emergency, not the color of the president's skin.

where did all this skin color fixation come from all of a sudden with you?

You keep bringing it up.

Oh yea, an emergency.

I'm prepared.

You should talk to your insurance company and employer.
Our family out of pocket max is 2500. We have a FSA and a HRA. Our insurance premiums are about a 100 bucks more per year. And we have better insurance.

Thanks Obama

Our major insurance problem is spending the 300 bucks left over in the FSA before year end

Thanks for new glasses I don't need Obama

Will you share some info re this plan you have?

Is it a ppo, hmo, network plan? What was you're previous plan? How much better is your new plan vs your previous?

If the benefits are significantly better, why is the cost only 100 bucks more a year?

Can you explain?

My wife works as a business analysts for a top 5 health insurance company. I won't identify our plan or insurance company name. Hope you understand that part.
Why it went up a little less than 100 a year? I don't know. We have a FSA and a HRA.
Our total out of pocket is 2500 for the family
It's a network plan. Which is no big deal because our network is huge.
I can also tell you this. Her company is profitable.
As to why it is significantly better. No lifetime caps. My mother has been goin thru chemo. Her meds are 20000 per session.

I'm not as lucky as you. I have a ppo for the wife and I. No cap, max out of pocket 3.5k, deductible 1.5k, low 5 buck co-pay on prescriptions, blahblahblah, pretty nice plan. I've had this plan or a variation of it, for over 14 years. Of course the run up to the ACA had the usual premium increases of about 10-15%. This year no change; I thought I was out of the "woods".

But wait, two weeks ago I get a nice xmas turd; next year, if I want to keep the same package, it will be an approx 43% increase. Of course, the customary blame it on ACA is included.

No way in hell will I qualify for a subsidy --- so much for Obama's definition of "fairness"; I'd have to have been a rabbit with about 15 kids.

I understand the motivation of the insurance providers --- somebody has to pay for those that can't. They certainly aren't going to.

ACA is about access, not about cost reduction. If it were, it would have been implemented a hell of a lot differently.

Thanks O-Man!

Anyway, glad it's working for you.
