You have no idea. But I've come a long way. Growing up in Michigan, there was no authentic Mexican food. There was the "wet burrito" at this one joint I remember. But I've lived in CA since '89, so my taste buds have changed, and I appreciate a bit of heat now. I eat stuff now that I would have never eaten as a kid.

place in silverlake by los Feliz and echo park was the best. rolling hills and views. Plus that's where my dog showed up
I lived in the Grand Rapids area (Grandville). But I remember doing the large dune buggy thing through the dunes. That was scary. I remember walking out onto Lake Michigan when it was completely frozen over, with enormous blocks of ice. Siver Lake is nice.

ok..now I'm officially weirded out. Apparently it's predominately Michigan folks that I talk to on RIU..totally crazy..of all places, why not California? or Colorado?

Abe from Detroit?? who'da thunk it? Not me! When I was a kid I participated in the CAN/USA games in track and field and I had a billet that was from Flint.
