Wow,you had me for a minute there,it kinda bummed me out when i saw your disclaimer,i was gonna hit you up & tell you about the reward for some of those items, then i was gonna ask if you were really Rick Harrison from pawn stars,i'd love to visit his home a see his collection.

The coolest collection & presentation of any collectable ive seen was in a guys house i bought some stereo gear from,he didnt give 2 shits about the hifi stuff his deal was civil war stuff , he built a massive 4,000 sq ft addition off his home & had everything displayed like a small battlefield,he had real cannons with manaquins in full uniform manning the cannons,he had dummys with rifles all lined up like a rifle squad,he had a split rail fence dividing both armies & an entire wall of custom glass cases, full from floor to ceiling with pistols, canteens, knives, ammunition, clothing & uniforms as well as possibly the biggest collection of trench art ever assembled privately,if it was in the civil war he had atleast one of it.

This dude had to have been filthy rich & said i was the only stranger to see his collection,he also told me he had a flag that a museaum auctioned off but it wasnt for display he just didnt want another collector to own it.

Hopefully you'll regain your interest in your collections,at the very least set the pieces for display where you see them everyday, who knows you might find it enjoyable again.
That's pretty cool. You have to love those people who are just dedicated. I knew an anesthesiologist in MD who had a real flair for presentation. He collected classic era cruise ship stuff. Very nice collection - custom cases and stuff. I had some things from the S.S. Monterey I got from my grandmother's belongings and so I gave hem to him. Some menus, passenger lists and news papery things that they hand out on board leading up to the invasion of Poland (August, '39 - when the cruise happened). He looks at the passenger lists and his father was the ships doctor - one of the reasons he collected cruise ship stuff. It was a cool moment. I like to give things away when I find where they belong, and these belonged with him. The next time I came by he had had them framed very nicely and they were above his desk.

I didn't mean to be so anti-collection. I protest too much. I miss digging through used-book stores. But I just went through Portland and didn't even think of going to Powell's, so something in me has changed.

But I still cannot resist primary sources. I've mentioned it before in another thread here about collections (good thread, look it up), but one of my favorite collections is my cast-off 35mm negative collection. They are all pretty much from 1933 to the early 1950s. I have about 500 rolls, maybe 1000. I have only scanned a small percentage of them but will eventually get around to the rest. Lots of wartime stuff. Dead people, wartime girlfriends, nazis, lots of babies. I will get back to it some day.

Nice rocks @Milovan

I wanted to start a cone snail shell collectiobut then I thought about the consequences. So I go to museums instead. I love museums.

I'm pretty sure its illegal to own real nazzi stuff also.
Is not. This country is full of real nazi stuff. No legal issue.

But in Germany you cannot own it (from my imperfect understanding). When traveling there I would go to used book stores. It was always a little funny that you had to convince the proprietor that you were a scholar (rather than a Neo nazi) before they would take you to the secret area full of nazi era stuff. There were some very cool things.

I understand, the last name deal, dont blame you either.

I have quite a few soda pop bottles that ive gathered over the yrs, mainly brands i remember from childhood & all still full of pop, nothing of any real value like your bottles but mainly decorations & conversation pieces.

Dig this,a few yrs back my oldest son & i were talking about my old pop collection & he thought & 50 yr old bottle of coke would taste the same so we opened one up,he tasted it 1st & i was suprised, the old ass coke was still semi drinkable,we did a bottle of squirt next & that was a bad scene,a real bad scene,i smelled it before taking a sip & it smelled like a wino washed his feet in it,my stupid kid tasted it & got a chunk lodged in his throat.
Very nice!
I have a dark amber thick and heavy Coke bottle from
1911, Dr Pepper bottle from 1934, Coke can with diamond prints
from the 50's, RC Cola bottle from the '30's, Vintage Bubble Up etc....

I also have an original entrance ticket and Matchbook for Studio 54
from New York City. Odyssey Night Club Matchbook from the night
John Travolta did his famous dance at the club for Saturday Night Fever,
Matchbook for Bates Motel, San Quentin and other cool matchbooks.
I have all kinds of cool rare collectibles too many to list. Woo hoo!

I got a original Boarding Entrance Ticket to
The SS Titanic.
Part of the ticket reads White Star Line Royal and United States Mail Steamers Cabin Passengers Contract Ticket dated and Stamped SS Titanic Apr. 10 1912.
I need to take a pic to post later today so I can show it here.
There is a lot more of the ticket to show.

Cleopatra & Marc Antony

Authentic Ancient Coin of:
Mark Antony Silver Denarius 18mm (3.35 grams)
Struck at Actium 32-31 B.C. for Marc Antony's Legion
ANT AVG III VIR R P C, Praetorian galley right.
LEG, Legionary eagle between two standards.

* Numismatic Note: This coin was struck by Antony for the use of his fleet and legions when he was preparing for the struggle with Octavian. These coins furnish an interesting record of the number of legions of which Antony's army was composed. These denarii are of baser metal than the ordinary currency of the time and might be described as "money of necessity."

Yup,in the good ole USA its perfectly legal to own nazi memorabilia & weapons, allthough some holocuast items arent legal to own.

I was told that germanys law regarding true nazi items pertains to literature or propaganda type items,im pretty sure true relics that most collectors covet is legal to sell.

I would love to have a complete set of german gi joe type toys,i have several panzer grenadiers & a wind up panzer mark vi tank, ive seen the complete 50 piece sets go as high as $20,000 for mint in package examples, very few survived the occupation of germany.

The biggest problem with the availability of true nazi collectables is the US government demonized all nazis after the war where citizens burned any connection they had to the nazi party.

Wow ! The coins are fantastic,do you have any interest is selling or trading the coins ?

Rarely do i get jealous over other peoples possesions but the dracul & dracula both have allways fascinated me & my wife both.

I dont know how much research you have done on both coins but if one of them is from the Vlad dracul 1st era ( Order of Dracul ) or knights of the dragon you might have a serious piece of history on your hands,im unfamiliar with your coins connection to the Dracul but i do know anything fron Vlad the 1st era of the Dragon,or Devil are extremely rare, were talkin hen's teeth here.

Anything from the order of the dragon i have serious interest in ,your coins are far beyond anything historical ive collected , tips hat & slowly bows away .

I used to collect people. Nothing better than a group of really interesting people. I think they are far more interesting than stuff. My German instructor was an escaped Nazi. He was an interesting guy who owned a very interesting lampshade.

@Milovan how did last night go for you? I figure around this time of year your house has to be rockin' and rollin'.

Everything went great and very wicked between the neighbors scary Jeepers Creepers truck and house,
no houses across from me and no lights on the street and living in Ed Woods Old house that Bela Lugosi (Dracula) hung out at I gave out a little over $200 in candy for the kids.
I have 18 trees on my property and some are pretty scary looking. Very scary.
A few of the little ones were too scared to pass the tree lines. Trees also cover my long driveway like
a tunnel so just going through there is pretty scary as well. A couple of kids were running and screaming
leaving my property only for their parents to calm them down laughing.
I had one friend up in a large dark scary looking umbrella tree shaking branches and making noises is
what probably did it. How did your night go?

I made a mistake on the descriptions and dates by memory and being high.
The first coin pictured is the coin of Mircea The Elder (Grandfather of Vlad Dracul) and were struck 1377 - 1383. The 2nd coin below the 1st one is the Vlad Dracul (Dracula)coin and was struck 1431 -1476. They were both struck by the order of the Dragon.
A chilvalric order founded by Emperor Sigismond in 1408.

No plans on selling or trading for now but
thanks for the offer and I will keep it in mind.

Thanks for your interest!
The coins look and are pretty wicked
no doubt. Also they are so rare I can't even
display them lol!
