thx for the advice! yah the ones we have right now are bluish so that is perfect. now we are thinkning about haning the mixed mercury in there as well. it is winter in Argie, and since we put that bulb they have really grown lots of leafs. how could that possible be wrong?i good rule of thumb for flowing plants with cfls's is 150 watt per square foot. get the ones with bluish light for vegging 5000k+(simulate bright summer days) and ones with reddish light for flowering 2000-3000k(simulate the sun in fall and winter) than u will be good=)
wow thanks ceestyle! i ll keep it then. this weekend we will work on the NEW grow box. any ideas? or any tips or facts you think we ought to keep in mind?yeah, weird shit happens sometimes. they look good otherwise.
i head they might actually turn out quite gooood most likely female. we ll see... has this happened to anyone else?wow that happened to 2 of mine whats the story?
one of doin ok but i dont think the other will make it???????????
wow that really helps. i appreciate it. you are right skunk is indic so i am hoping for thatThey're probaby a hybrid heavy on indica. If I remember correctly, Skunk is a pure or near-pure indica, so if you mean Skunk the strain - not just skunky bud - that would make sense. I'll take a closer look and maybe give you some tips later. At the moment I'm just killing time in the fucking airport ...
As for the mutant plants, I have had this happen to seedlings in grows where the remainder of the seedlings were treated the same and did not show these characteristics. If you see this sort of leaf behavior in larger plants or clones, however, this suggests some sort of stress, such as light, nutrients, or transplant. The same thing goes for clones or mid-sized plants that revert in leaf number, say from 7-points to 5, 3, or even 1.
Your fine with the 400w HPS. The blue spectrum of MH/T5/CFL is better for plant growth, but those lights don't penetrate the lower parts of the plants like a HPS will. Just make sure you don't burn the plants or have the light too high and have them stretch too much.wow that really helps. i appreciate it. you are right skunk is indic so i am hoping for that
WE NOW HAVE ALL THE EQUIPMENT NEEDED - that is HPS 400, timer switch, thermometer, air extractor, bigger grow box of course, fan, etc
Will this still work for veg? it is orange if that makes any difference.
well yah whenever you have some time i ll take you up on those tips!

excellent! we ve just set up our second grow box. we could have a third on the way that is 2m by1.5 m by 1m, but i dont know it seems huge for an apartment and a bit scary, if you know what i mean. but i guess the plants will outgrow this box soon? is the light set up at the right distance now? i measured 40 cm; it sure heats up the whole apartment!Your fine with the 400w HPS.
