If everything goes right, we'll pass under the Golden Gate....twice lol
About 10 years ago was on another boat, as we were almost hit by a Golden Gate 'jumper' while going out at dawn. The skipper said he saw a streak go by & just missed the bow. We all heard the sickening *SPLAT*!. We circled around for 10 mins or so until the Coasties showed up, but we never spotted anything..... rumor is that's why the local Dunginess Crab is so tasty at Fishermans Warf...

my brother inlaw, was a guide in the queen charlotte islands for 12 years and now gets invited back for thier staff week every year. hes pretty lucky because normally the trip costs $12-15k /week. and he comes home w/ 200lb of coho, chinook, and pinks, plus another 50ish lb of hallibut. they usually do a big family salmon feast when he gets back. and then he smokes all the rest to send out for christmas gifts

I love salmon! Whenever I go up to Oregon to visit family it's all I eat! I haven't eaten any since Fukushima. I am serious about getting a geiger counter. Only way to know for sure.

Its times like this I'm glad I don't eat fish. Nothing from the sea. Only grass fed, range free for me. There is a butcher who provides local, humanely grown meat and poultry. Pricey but healthy and as guilt free for me as it gets.
