And this one doublejj im sure you may have heard before ,but if not this song is a tribute to aussies fighting alongside America in nam...hardly a week goes by where this song doesn't get played at least once in the nite when I have my crew over and the beer n whisky and aussie weed is in our lungs.........hope you don't mind me posting these two vids on your thread.

Thanks for those Ruby. The Aussies in Vietnam were know as fierce fighters. For some Viet Cong leaders there was no doubt the Australian jungle warfare approach was effective. One former Viet Cong leader is quoted as saying; "Worse than the Americans were the Australians. The Americans style was to hit us, then call for planes and artillery. Our response was to break contact and disappear if we could...The Australians were more patient than the Americans, better guerilla fighters, better at ambushes. They liked to stay with us instead of calling in the planes. We were more afraid of their style."....

The last one kind of reminds me of this one Ruby. I don't know if this ever got any play time down under, but it was a #1 hit in the US in the 1960's. You rarely here it today. Written & sung by a US Army Green Beret (Special Forces) SSG..

I was watching Col Jack Jacobs, Medal of Honor winner interview the newest Medal of Honor winner and the Colonel told the kid ..this medal is for all the soldiers who didn't make it back.
I love the commraderie and loyalty and love soldiers and veterans have for each other from all branches of the service.

some aussies or foreigners can be negative of the "American patriotic ways"...I prefer to call hit Americans wearing their hearts on their sleeves with pride and loyalty.......
