false on both counts.

tell me more about how we're economically "circling the drain". this promises to be grand.
Both counts false?

Well, idk when we started reading all the emails, but I wouldnt be shocked if it happened under W.

But Obama has interjected the United States into the affairs of more nations than Bush did. That is a fact. And he has 3 more years to go almost. He might set a record.

This is probably because Bush couldnt locate where they were on a map...

Obama thinks there are 57 states, what is your point?

dubya dubya dubya

Border relations between Canada and Mexico have never been better.

We spent a lot of time talking about Africa, and we should. Africa is a nation that suffers from incredible disease.

Vice President mentioned Nigeria is a fledgling democracy. We have to work with Nigeria. That's an important continent.

That is a very valid counter point.

However, 3000 plus Americans dead on 9/11. The country wanted to kick somebody's ass, and the Democrats in congress voted to go in there also.

Obama has just decided all on his own to get involved.

You're right. Bush wins, Obama loses.

You chastise someone about their geography and you don't know the difference between a continent and a country?

Edit...

Also, Canada and Mexico don't have a border with each other.

The Obama administration is sending weapons to Mexican cartels, those same weapons end up killing our border agents, and Mexicans of all walks of life.

Bush paid a lot of attention to Africa, doing a lot for it. Awareness if nothing else. Obama rarely mentions his homeland. (lol I kid)

And also, back to point one. I see you think Africa is a nation, and Nigeria is a continent.

Go back to third grade geography please.

The fundamentals are gone from the US economy, there's little domestic production/manufacturing, even your oil production involves it being exported and getting paid in the same funny-money you guys can just print more of anyways, and with it being exported, it doesn't really help the US domestic economy either. Plus lets not lie to ourselves, oil companies really contribute fuck all to the local economy anyways, dey kip dey scrilla close, yo.

If the debt/deficit combo keep going the same way, debt will start to creep to 110%+ of GDP and your creditworthy-ness will be called into question again, possibly with another lowering of your standing with the major ratings agencies.

(This is getting harder to type as I go, I apologise for any minor mistakes, the hash is nice tonight...its illegal here, quality isn't consistent but its gooooood right now :) )

The US stock market is in a HUGE bubble and by my opinion is beginning to trend downwards and could probably drop to a 52 week low easily enough with the right "friction" (read: Full scale war in Ukraine).

There's a multitude of other reasons, but that's enough for now :joint::mrgreen:

gary johnson is simply a republican. his ideas will not work.
Refute them then, "this should be grand".
EDUCATION

All parents should have an opportunity to choose which school their children attend.

  • Putting educational funds in the hands of the people who use them gives parents and students a vote as to which schools are best and which need to improve.
  • Our children deserve the chance to succeed educationally, but the same old way of thinking won't cut it. It's time to free individuals and states from burdensome federal mandates and regulations so they can pursue the right educational strategies for their students.

End the Department of Education

[h=4]ALTHOUGH IT MAY SOUND DRASTIC, THERE ARE practical reasons why it should be considered.[/h]
  • The Department of Education grants each state 11 cents out of every dollar it spends on education. Unfortunately, every dollar of this money comes with 16 cents of strings attached. States that accept federal funding lose five cents for every dollar spent on education to pay for federal mandates and regulations, taking millions of dollars out of the classroom.
  • Schools should have the authority to decide how best to spend educational dollars. Without federal regulations and mandates, schools could choose to purchase new computers, better lab equipment, and maintain after-school sports and music programs even during times of tight budgets.
  • Once citizens and their local representatives have the freedom to decide how their educational funds will be spent, they can consider innovations that will drive student choice, educational competition, and better results.

In fairness, Romney wouldve done an even shittier job...

You see, rich people actually love when the economy falls apart.

Capital + Economic collapse = Acquiring SHITLOADS of bargain-basement priced prime assets.

Lots of people made LOTS of money after the 2008 collapse.

But seriously though, just read the numbers listed in that quote.

Its obvious that the Dept of Education is a HUGE bureaucratic mess with hugely wasteful spending.

I say burn it down and institute a new model or at least totally reform the current one from the core.

Yet with Obama, it isn't part of the conversation whatsoever.

letting half our country devolve into stupidity even more crippling than what they already face is a win for no one. his ideas on education that you just presented are 100% republican playbook. vouchers and let states teach what they want, no uniform standards.

say what you want about obama, his race to the top program was a massive success.

it's just empty rhetoric. 16 cents on the dollar for administrative costs (if that's even what "strings attached" means, notice how he doesn't actually define anything he goddamn says) will all of a sudden bring back music education? fat chance.
