Well somewhat good news...It's been a little over 2 and 1/2 days since I put the 6 seeds in jiffy pellets....

I had the following:

KS - Kerala x Skunk#1 (2)
BS - regular old cheap bag seed (2)
DGBS - definite good bag seed (1)
PSGBS - pretty sure good bag seed (1)

the pretty sure thing is bc I may have mixed up one of the BS with the DGBS...So in reality one of the BS might be Good Bag Seed, Kapeesh ? lol

So as of right now I have three sprouts coming up....2 BS, and the other was the DGBS .....So basically the top 3 seeds have yet to sprout !....Although, the KS was planted directly in the pellets where the rest where started in shot glasses with water.....Safe to assume since I planted the KS directly they may take longer to sprout ?

I actually used 2-23w/6500k bulbs for the first few weeks then added 1-27w/6400k and 4-23w/5000k a few weeks later. Then once into flower i added 2-23w/2700k. It was GMZ who had mentioned 5700k...

thanks for your reply...Wow, you really had quite the spectrum there ! Interesting that you didn't switch the bulbs out for vegg and flower, yet still produced what look to be good buds....Do you have a grow journal or anything ?

UPDATE: I just checked on them...the three that sprouted have grown even bigger...I still not have exposed any of them to light...I think I will do so tonight....So it will be about roughly 24 hours or maybe a little more since they sprouted before they will get light....I'm doing this bc I am trying to get those direct plant KeralaSkunk to sprout....If i put lights on the timer the temps go down to low 60s during lights off....I'm tryin' to keep the temps warm.....

Man, I hope the KS sprout, or otherwise the Herbies Seeds will be 0 for 4.

Does anyone think it would hurt the plants if I went 24-0 with the lights until the rest of them hopefully sprout then change lighting to 18-6 ?

I think it will be ok. Try not to keep it 24/0 for more than just a couple days though.

You will just get alot of above medium/ground growth at 24/0.

Just as a side note: Ive gotten a lot of good stuff from bag seed over the years. One particular "grocer" gives fat 5s of dirty (seeded) versions of popular strains. These strains have ranged from jack H., kush, white widow, white rhino, p.haze, s.haze, and others. Not only have the materials been of great smoking quality, but the left overs are also great for growing. Bag seed can be a type of hidden treasure in the right hand.

Ya I've read a bunch of different stuff on here about bag seed turning out good....Half the battle is growing and curing it right I think....

Well I just turned the lights on for the first time....So 11:45 am EST - LIGHTS ON......

I'll run 24 hours for a few days and see if that KS sprouts...

The one sprout already is lookin' tall like she (hopefully) was growin' tryin' to find light, lol....That was the DGBS

here's an update...the sprout on the far right grew about 1/2" in about 8 hours, and it was hitting the top of the germination container when I just checked on them....So I took the top off....Still no signs of the KS....If these don't pop I'll probably be done with Herbies...Too bad I like their website layout...Oh well.

The reason I have so many lights on is the keep temps up for germination...If I didn't temps would be low 60s.

ya I don't know...I was thinking of emailing them but what do I say ?

Well I know the one seed that popped should be something decent...But then I also have to hope that it's a female....So we'll see....

just be nice, tell them that you really like ordering from them but the seeds you got where duds, is there anything you can do to help me out. it cant hurt to try. they may even send you a bunch of freebies?? im sure they take care of their customers and they have to put that on their web site.

Well it took 3.5 days but I have some good news....The 2 KeralaxSkunk#1 seeds just popped their little green heads out of the soil, lol....In case nobody caught it they were planted directly into the moist jiffy pellets...

Oooooohhhhhhhhh Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

And they also look bigger and greener than the others

thats good to hear sc, still sucks the seeds you pay for are duds and the freebies sprout. thats what happened with mine, i still have the 60 day wonder i paid for and i grew the 2 free big bud #2, which was 2 different seeds. i might pop that 60 day seed in soil and see if will sprout, LoL. good luck brother!!

So I guess I'll call this day 1 veggin'.....In the party cups now but I also put them on 18-6

I've been smokin' some indica or mostly indica for the last few months...It's good weed but I prefer sativa....I will soon have some Colorado weed that is supposed to be of the non-zombie variety....So far that's all I know.

well i just checked on them....first time they had a light break, and I think they liked it....They all look a little bigger...but one of those KS is having trouble shaking the seed shell off, lol.
