Ahhhh RIU!
i know, christ, can't we have just one thread on this site where no one feels the need to talk shit to one another and insult each other, or is that not possible at all, ever??
different people like different things, chocolate and vanilla, no need to insult each other because they don't like the same thing you do, of course, all imvho..

Nice way of jumping around hoops to insult, hope that shit works well for you. Thanks for the advice
If I wanted to insult you I would have. I'm just saying if your coming on here bragging how stupid your friend is for dropping 20k into a d series, I would be weiry to admit I'm a friend of such a dumbass, especially if he is a mechanic. What fords and Chevys do you own, just curious?

Yeah i even complimented hondas, they hold an excellent resale value.
Yeah my buddy dumped a shitload into his car, blew it up and rebuilt it and sold it when he got divorced. If you had the money and were as in love with hondas as he is you would do the same. Myself for that id just import a jdm nsx if i wanted a fast honda but even then a 013 camaro would still smoke my ass for cheaper

Did you take that airbag out ?
lol actually no. airbag stayed but was disconnected. never got around to putting a aftermarket wheel on it because it really wasnt needed. and didnt want my steering wheel to have a big hole in the middle so i left the airbag. i always disconnect my driver side air bags if i have them. dont like the idea of my steering wheel exploding in my face lol

That build list is easily 7 grand man and not to mention forced induction. Don't go telling it's not cause motor work is a couple grand min. Sure looked like a "big" project to you at the time. Looks like a good amount of work but that car wouldn't run no low 12s on drag radials at the track. Like I said that's an economy car just like a honda tried to be built into a RACECAR. I give you credit that takes a lot of time a patience to build any car to that level much less a Saturn. It's ok if you hate honda fan boys like I said most are a joke but if done right Hondas are the cheapest out there.

Your lucky if your car would do high 12s at the track without slicks. I ran a guy with a similar setup to you but a 3076r turbo and a 100 shot at the track and he ran a 12.8@111. Fwd for the lose

Because of the vin#, in Ma. you would have to get RMV fees and shit to get a plate on it. Friend of mine had a 97 Buick, V6 FWD, couldn`t get a sticker after take`n all the yellow wires out. even took out the mod. under the seat. I helped him,and warned him.

well i agree fwd for the loss. it was the only fwd car ive built and it was specifically to beat all the honda kids running around town thinking their hondas where the shit. again i never ran that car at the track but beat my buddies 12.8 trans am from a dig in the streets. did it on more then one occasion so idk what to tell you. got no real track numbers for you but the proofs in the pudding they say. also like to add i didnt beat him by much so maybe a mid 12 car on the track? left a lot of people impressed, left a lot of people pissed off. it is what it is, i build audis and older porsches now but do a lot of work on moddern muscle cars for friends. mainly camaros and corvettes.

and your right on the money that whole build cost about 7 grand not including the price of the car i got for 700 bucks.

High twelves is where I see that car IMHO. Do you do any single turbo builds on those vets or cameros? Quite a few boosted trans ams around my area that are no joke.

well anywhere in the 12's and im happy with it. no longer have the car so we will never know lol
no never done any turbo setups on the vets or camaros. almost no room under the hood in those cars for anything like that. although possible it was always easier to supercharge them. i started work on a TT 4th gen camaro once but my buddy backed out. got as far as building a special subframe to fit a turbo on either side down by the oil pan but dude ran out of money. did build a super bad ass c5 vette with a procharger f1r supercharger that made almost 1800 hp. it was basically a stock c5 with a built engine. when the car was off it looked like a stock vette but when running you knew it was bad. everything but the engine and clutch was stock even the tires lol. it has no traction in any gear, put it in 6th gear on the highway and tap the throttle and the car will slide over a lane or two :D

Rear exhaust turbos for the win. Yeah anything over a 1000rwhp is most likely having problems with traction on the streets

My fords:
96 ranger carbed 302 cut extended and turned beams, 2.5x 12 inch fox coilovers, engine cage, chevy leafs flipped shackles, bed cage and 16 inch 3 tube bypasses, 33 inch rubber on 15 inch rims
2010 f550 v10 one ton picker truck, with 3 ton hiab picker and 30k worth of tools
2013 escape ecoboost with nothing but a turbo timer

Chevys:
2006 trailblazer ss with hiem steering
A nova rusting in the back
Also have a 4200 vortec inline six i wanted to put in something after it destroyed the drivetrain in the trailblazer it once called home.

Do you want specs on my taco too? How about grind numbers on my cam in the 302? Or do you just want to here me spout out abunch of manfactures names like im doing a podium speach.

Why are you confrontational, noone said hondas suck. Their race and utility equipment is top notch(well the dirtbikes are ten years behind the rest but reliable), and the cars do exactly what they were designed too but newwer hondas are needlessly over engineered in order to justify the high price for the same designs for 10-15 years thus not a good choice to build up.
You can build an older civic relativly cheap and it will be quick, and can handle good. Fast is not cheap and you cannot make a 300+hp civic handle well or any fwd car for that matter.
I dont hate honda i dislike honda people who think honda is the greatest product in all catagorys in every aspect.

I hate subarus tho... nothing sounds worse than your average 3-4 year old soobie

Sorry in a bad mood today
