did you know that by burning firewood you are causing global cooling in a way? a fellow republican friend of mine introduced me to this theory about forest fires causing global cooling which is incontrovertibly true since a republican said it, so you are burning a little bit of forest so you are just causing a little bit of global cooling but it still works as a theory it's all supported and legit and whatnot i think it even says so in the bible.

Just make up fear of climate and GMO tipping points, but you support the proven nightmare of actual tipping points. It is not natural fear, so it is contrived.

Don't you see? All the rest is just hand waving if you don't acknowledge the risk you support, is much more real.

Show me REAL evidence of ongoing increased yield as a result of GMO crops. Now show me REAL and ongoing reductions in the use of pesticides and herbicides. You want proof of harm, I want proof of improvement over the non-GMO norm, over the span of time they have been in widespread use. Unless there is such a thing, then GMOs are a useless danger.

Laboratory show that the actual carbon-containing particles emitted by fires are very different than those used in current computer models, providing the potential for inaccuracy in current climate-modeling results. “We’ve found that substances resembling tar balls dominate, and even the soot is coated by organics that focus sunlight,” said senior laboratory scientist Manvendra Dubey, “Both components can potentially increase climate warming by increased light absorption.”

Also heard there is a large population of minorities and gay people living there which offends my Racist and Homophobic values. Obama has allowed the states to make their own laws concerning MJ, but Federal law trumps state law and the Feds could shut everything down if ordered to.

I don't know about those studies, but I can verify that "green wood" puts more soot in my chimeny than seasoned fire wood. This also depends on the type of tree. Ash works well for a green wood, while willow doesn't. The time of year that the tree is cut also factors in. In winter the sap is in the roots.

"Green wood" is freshly cut and has higher moister content.
I've also noticed that fires in the woodstove that burn at a high temp have no visable smoke.

Man can't change mother earth from changing.
It will continue to change even if all humans died today.

It is true that humans have a great impact on the planet.
Exagerating the potential effects for political gain as Al Gore did and Obama does is a ruse, may cause them to sleep better at night, fatten their wallets and ganner kudos, but it doesn't make a difference in the life cycle of the Earth.
