Looking real nice!, I got a green crack from HSO and just recently started a Blue dream. Looks like i'm in for a treat if it's anywhere near as nice as yours

Have you had an Mg deficiency? The paleness of the leaves along with edges curling up and brown tips curling back up are indicative of an Mg issue.


I've got 2 blue dream HSO beans ready to pop once I stop being a lazy bum enjoying my last harvest. That was HSO OG KUSH and HSO pineapple skunk along with DINAFEM critical+.

The OG to be fair is really strong with quite a diesel fuel smell to it.

The pineapple skunk is a very citrus orientated taste and aroma with a more calming head high.

Can't wait to try their blue dream its just a shame that the lineage is only an assumption of it using the original clone only blue dream.

Been feeding cal mag through out the whole grow not really an issue with mg but a little with the last water some over fert but all an all she's healthy yellowing cause mainly she's bought done. Been wanting to run an og next grow with a freebie purple haze i got and was going to save the other BD seeds i have for later run.

Over fert can cause an Mg issue if the rootzone EC is too high, as it can be in the soil/nutes but becomes unavailable at a high EC especially with wet/cold/acidic rootzone.


HSO OG?

Its not a heavy yielder but well worth the smoke, I got 3.1oz from about 8 weeks veg with mainline training under a 400w.

Between 3 Critical+ plants, 2 OG's and 2 pineapples with a lamp that needed replacing I got 374g.

One of each strain was mainlined while 4 clones total were rooted and flowered in a SOG style.

Im not sure what HSO blue is? Mine is just plain ol Blue Dream.

i'd like to try a scrog grow but just havent yet. and as for the mg i'll see if i can bump up the dose of cal mag next water and see if that'll help and lower fert dont know if it will clear up this late in flower but wouldnt hurt either right ? But thanks for the info and as far as the og yeah i'd like to try the HSO OG havent grown any for about 3 yrs but always some good quality smoke.

And you should have some good smoke with some true blue regga , everything i've seen on them has been good news large colas and descent yields treat em good and they'll treat you good back!!

I'm the same as you about a SCROG. Lol. I even have a roll of trellis screen just incase lol.


Personally I use mono Ca and Mg.

Usually out of the 2 elements Mg is the one to rear its ugly head. But what doesn't help IMO is if you are having an Mg def adding more Ca can exacerbate the Mg def as too much of one can cause deficuency symptoms of the other. Its one of those double edged swords with Ca/Mg dual supplements.

What ratio is your dual supplement?

No doubt it probably carries N in the form of calcium nitrate as that's how most Ca/Mg dual supplements formulate.


Is 3:1 Ca:Mg?

My base contains 5:2 Ca:Mg but during flower I have to add the occasional hit of 7% Mg mono.

Calcium (Ca) ….. 3.2%
Magnesium (Mg) ….. 1.2%
1.2% Water Soluble Magnesium (Mg)
Iron (Fe) ….. 0.1%
0.1% Chelated Iron (Fe)
Ingredients: Calcium nitrate, magnesium nitrate, iron EDTA.
thats what it says on the bottle , dont really know much bout it was a gift and thought i would use it but usually i use just lime and never seem to have any problems.

You'll probably find its because of the already good amount of Ca and then during flowering if you use a PK flower booster the demand for Ca and Mg increases but generally tap water and nutes have enough Ca in them but generally not enough Mg to sustain the extra flowering growth of the PK boost.

Your lime would do the job just fine.


Epsom salts would probably have helped better in this instance than the supplement.

Thanks for that input. I have some of these in my nursery now and I so wanted to try the BD but I have no access to clones and west coast clones might as well be on the moon for me. So, my hope is that this is the next best thing.
That latest pic Botanist sure looks mighty fine and not unlike pics of the clone version of BD. Maybe they do have it about right ?

Could be right indeed, HSO do claim to be using I think west coast growers with "legendary" strains to make these supposedly clone only strains.

But then as most are fully aware you can get 100's of breeders claiming a strain is the real deal. So we'll never fully know for sure unless someone with access to the clone only versions wants to fly some clones around the world lol.

HSO! Well that said enough right there. Anything out of humbolt is good..
I just learnt from a friend how to make fem seeds so if I like how they turn out I will seed out momma and start a 12/12 from seed perpetual..

ill be pulling my b.d next week.she sits on day 50 today.Mine looks like an big clump of rust.solid orange hairs covered huge buds.Smell awesome.trics today 20/clear/70/cloudy/10 amber.looks like u got at leat 3 weeks left.Nice job looks great

Well guys i was off on my week count as i went through my grow journal the hairs almost all receded back into the calyx, my trichomes are as 85% cloudy 10 % clear and 5% amber gonna chop soon and get started on my next grow.
