Yeah you might have to wait a little bit longer until you can tell, probably in the next 3 weeks. Yeah the wind can be good but bad too, good for preventing bud rot but bad when its at the very end and the buds are just holding on by the weight and the wind can snap branches.

The Panama is a hash plant, pungent smell so far. The plants are gonna go crazy after yesterdays watering! next 4 days of straight sun with 25 highs. I'm off to the ruahines tomorrow for a hunt, cant wait.

Probably wont be an update for awhile if it keeps raining, no point making tracks to my spot. I found out I have the long flowering thin leaf phenotype of Malawi - a more devastating and tripping high. Hopefully she finishes in my climate. Might be a mid may harvest.

JTW - Is the plant still veging? could just be massive preflowers?.

Cooper - Yeah they will go crazy over the next few days, I'd say about 15-20cm growth for most plants. You can't but colloidal silver higher than 15ppm, you need to buy Ultra Colloidal Bio Silver from amazon online. It's 50 ppm which is fine for making seeds, $20 US for a 16oz bottle.
Sweet as Ill keep an eye on it. Yeah thats true if it got to the stage id probably tie it all up. Our weather down here has been really similar to yours. Lots of rain yesterday and sun for the next 4 - 5 days at this stage although its a couple of degrees higher up your way. Gonna have awesome growth. The two new tops are looking good now to.

Gave mine some nitro soil today blood and bone fert NPK 8.3.6 so hopefully thatl give it a little boost over these next few sunny days. Took the tape of and its looking great its amazing how quick it can fix it self. Its still healing so I left the stick and tie on for support but so far so good. Ill let nature do the rest of the work. Its corrected itself from the side position and starting to stand nice and tall aswell:-) Oh yeah looks like somethings been having a we much on it. Not surprised I mean how could you resist such a nice smelling plant. Have fun in the ruahines mate

That purple bud and hash are amazing aussie, that OG looks similar to a blue og I just ran. Not much stretch right?.
What's that sativa veging up the top? looks like a nice plant. Do you have any outdoors going mate?

Lt,
Looks like your plant's recovered well. The weather has been weird this season, good vegging though. Got down to 11.8 last night.
Any signs of animals around your plant? goats are killer man. I hope it starts getting drier soon though so they can really take off.
who knows how big mine are now.

Sure has mate. It has been rather weird weather my dad reckons its usually hot any sunny before Christmas then pretty average over Chrisrmas then good through january febuary so well see.
Nah no signs of animals around the area but I reckon it could just be slugs or something coming through at night because there's no signs of anything during the day. Ill just chuck some organic deris dust around it or neem next time I go up and it should be algood I hope. Not gonna go up for awhile now though. Bet yours are looking awesome as though bro.

hey crazy kiwi, nice to meet you.

the top sativa is sugartown express (trainwreck x OG). its looking real nice but super stretchy and very vine like. the branches are like spaghetti and cant hold there own weight even without buds on them. Its the same OG male that was used in the daybreaker (Chem D x OG) in the scrog above. that male is very special and comes from the NYC OG line.

you will soon notice that i only really grow 2 different breeders strains, BODHI and Gage Green. Bodhi because he is simply the best IMO and Gage Green because they are also excellent but i also test for them.

the chem D x OG has moderate stretch but as you can see it fills much nicer than a regular OG and has an extra fuel/diesel aroma behind that lemon/kush smell. its real nice.

as for outdoor i dont have anything at the moment. too difficult in my current situation. i miss growing outdoors though.

Yeah that sounds about right, christmas isn't usually blazing and then from new years it blasts. Been getting 12 degree low with 24.5 on average highs lately, should pick up into the late 20's soon. I might spray my plants with neem next time I go down, there were a few bugs and flys on the malawi but no damage.

aussie - yeah bodhi looks interesting, that watermelon hashplant looks amazing - he also has an ethiopean I want too. where can you get his beans without using attitude?.
Grown any landrace or heirlooms before?

to be honest i just use attitude for my bodhi gear but i know there are a bunch of other seedbanks. i think seed depot is reliable.

as for landraces i have grown a few. i used to have a hawaiian that was awesome but i accidentally lost my cut while i was in hawaii on my honeymoon, ironic right lol

old photo so sorry for the quality.

i also grow a lot of hazes. lots of mr nice strains. im a real sativa fan. you wont see many strains in my garden that are indica dom, some but not many.

@crazykiwi that malawi is stunning mate, shes going to be a big girl. of you havnt seen mohicans thread on RIU you should check it out

EDIT:- i just checked out mohicans thread and he has deleted all the photo's its a real bummer because he had some massive outdoor malawi and other landraces growing in his back yard. it was amazing

Panama

Panama8.jpgPanama1.jpgPanama2.jpgPanama6.jpgPanama7.jpgPanama3.jpgPanama4.jpgPanama5.jpg

Pungent plants, they're going to absolutely reek the place out(good but bad too). Nice growth in 9 days since I last saw them, it hasn't been sunny that much - more subtropical rainy/sunny/cloudy days lol.
The internodel spacing is pretty big, much more than Malawi. Hopefully I get 2 females and a male, it would be a dream getting a green and red female with a red male.

Malawi is definitely thriving the most, they look so at home here - can anyone else tell when a plant suites its climate? like some plants don't look as 'at home', the Panamas will probably grow taller and more singular whereas the Malawis are straight beasts that grow from the bottom up focussing more on structure and girth rather than height for the moment.

Happy new years everyone!
Have a good one

aussie,

If you're a real sativa fan check out Ace and Cannabiogen. they're the most legit source for pure sativas, pretty funny how you lost your cut but sucks though because no one really has Hawaiian genetics anymore.

Ace seeds has old timers haze which has been preserved since the 60's, 22+ weeks flower though.. my profile pic is old timers haze outside in Brazil(not mine).

That Malawi was amazing!, he grew that at 44N and got over 3 lbs from one plant with bud rot loses too. I have 3 regular seeds of holy smokes malawi gold and lots of their african lanndraces.
He grew that mulanje recently(might be still growing), no doubt that it's a pure sativa and I don't think it will finish here.

The Panamas are taller than they look in the photos, probably 2 ft at least, tallest one closer to 3.
How tall do you reckon they will get?

i really like the look of ace and cannbiogen but i doubt i will be buying seeds anytime in the future. i have a back log of serious dank seeds. more than i could ever grow out. plus on top of that i have loads of my own crosses and a stack of f2's of some awesome strains. then i also test for gage green so they keep sending me free testers and with every pack of testers they send me a free pack of there off the shelf gear too lol. kind of spoiled for seeds at the moment.

as for the hawaiian i have no idea if it was a legit hawaiian anyway but it was certainly unique. i really miss that cut

that panama is really cool. i hope you get a red pheno, that would be cool to see

Man those look awesome  They look way bigger since you last posted pictures. Defiantly more sub tropical even down here surprisingly. Are those non fem seeds? Red phenos would be amazing haha

Looking good happy new years!

Thanks man  it sucks I can't watch them grow :(, yeah they are over 2 ft with 6 weeks of veg left - gonna get monsterous mate.
They are regular seeds and the Malawis came from a regular mother - I'd rather have regular plants outdoor, I believe you can find better plants from regular seeds.
Oh dont you worry mate, there will definitely be a red hash pheno because apparently it's easier to find them as it was their main focus to bring back the original panama red. Got to 27 degrees today, summer is here brother!.
I'm loving the Malawi though man, best looking veg plant iv'e seen and probably the most vigorous - so aggressive. I hope the fem seeds turn out the same!

Update us soon bro, how tall would yours be now? pray that yours is a female!.

Aussie,

Nice hashplants mate, hydro or soil? and what kinds lights are you using?. Bodhi is like ace and CBG, straight up honest people just wanting to share genetics - have you tried Aruba from Bodhi? looks interesting.

The red pheno will be amazing, there's also an insane pink pheno too so frosted it looks white and pink.

Gunjaloaf,

Do you have any pics of your plants mate? did you end up taking a cut from that sativa?.

Does anyone have an idea of how tall my plants will get? I think the final height of the Panamas will be taller than Malawis. I think most plants will be in the 10-16ft range.
