How about doing what most of us on this site already do and grow your own? What's so hard about that?
Don't have to pay taxes on something you don't buy in the first place .. which is why if my state ever legalized and wanted to tax it at 100%, guess what, it'd never cost me a red cent because I don't buy pot, that shit grows on trees, haven't you heard?
I do grow my own.

I just find it reprehensible that any governing body, or citizen, would be able to justify taxing something more than 10%.

That mindset needs to change, and the practice needs to stop.

You think 10% is high? Try living in Europe...

Dunno, not into keeping up with all the current taxes and silly shit like that. 40% seems high but then it's cigs and those are known killers aren't they?
In Cali it is .25 a pack for cigarettes and the rest is all taxes.

Like RB said... Even if taxed at 100% it has no negative effect on you if you grow your own....

Federally I would support MJ taxed at 100% + to get it legal....

Supply and demand would drive MJ to my guess would be $1.00 per gram... if it was free.... and I would quit growing and gladly pay 200% tax on it...

Ha... POT is free...Having MJ is not against the law....

I can hold and carry MJ with me as I drive around the country...

What does making MJ legal have to do with any thing bad...

It's a happy day... In Co ... Enjoy your place in history!

To the people that complain about taxes. If you don't want to pay taxes, don't. Just stay off the streets, highways, stay out of most concert venues, don't use our schools. Stay out of our pools when it's hot, don't shop in the mall, Don't call the fire department when you house is on fire, or the Police when your house is broken into, or you know, any number of things that our taxes go to support.

7g 102$ I would never pay that

So a 600w light has the potential of making over 8000$ a harvest, wow why sell cocaine?
Yeah, $100+ for a 1/4 seems ridiculously high. A medical friend of mine donates $50 for 7g, on street it would go for $60.

Throw another $20 on top of that for taxes? I don't see street sales going away if those prices stay that high.

The Denver post's new cannabist section is reporting that some Denver stores have started limiting sales to an 1/8 per customer because of low stock.

I did.

Met a bunch of hard working folks over there that felt the same way.

Taxation is a concept that any reasonable person can support, but there comes a point where it no longer becomes taxation, and instead turns into slavery. That point is 10% for me.

Hell, if that was good enough for the greedy bastards in the church, it should be good enough for anyone.

"You can load up as many of these 100 pound stones as you want, but for every one you load for yourself, you have to load up one for the "state"."

"But I need like a hundred...."

"Then I guess you better get busy."

Fuck that.

How did human beings ever get to the point where they believed that's justifiable?

While it took millenia for us to realize that slave labor was fucked up as a football bat, we still have idiots that can justify taking more than HALF of some people's labors. That's just fucked up, and the mindset needs to change.

I have said the same thing for years and years. The church is bursting at the seams with all the money they rake in with 10%. If it is good enough for their god, it is good enough for our government.

I'm sure 'dealers' will be hanging outside these shops like ticket scalpers. When I was in Amsterdam a decade ago, the street dealers were everywhere.

Another receipt. $64 for an eighth of GSC. This one from Pueblo.

A quarter of schwag has been 60 dollars since the eighties, and when the good shit came, it was double. But if you look you can get for 100.
Not in western Canada it sure as hell isn't. Not even the best of the best BC bud sells for even close to $100 per quarter.

$120 for half, $200-$230 per ounce.

Is there a limit on how many plants you can grow at any one time? Also, do they count plants that aren't flowering as cannabis plants?
