Finally cut my 2 peppers out of the beer cans they have been growing in the last year and put them in some Happy Frog. I'm looking forward to not having to feed them every single day in coco.

The filius blue has done well with the transition. The aji charapita, not so much. Hahaha. Although it does have one small new growth trying to prevail.

I started pepper and tomato seeds this past week, then another tray of pepper last night. Saw the first pepper sprouts last night. Unknown pepper number three, which is known now. Well at least I know what they look and taste like. Which is a cayenne and jalapeno cross. They fill up a bottle of pepper sauce in a hurry.

Got some sprouts too, Tam jalapeno. I have a lot more varieties to start too!
I grow that one as well. I can’t really tell a difference can you.
I have started a butt load of pepper seeds already. And I have been trying to germinate seeds from some quajillo and anchos that I bought in big bags but zero luck with that. I guess the seeds were radiated before customs let them in .

Last year around this time I mentioned that I was going to seed this one, which was the 2nd from original. I'll call it H2

Here's the H3 version for this season. It's similar around the whole plant! I'll do this next year as well!

Just quoting this post to let you know that H4 isn't happening. I had no seeds from this plant last season. I'm going to source some from Heirloom Seeds in Montreal since the other seeds I received from them seem pretty stellar. Unless, of course, somebody has a source in the Western Canadian area (AB or BC).

I moved my first three pepper plants out from under the lights today. One Mammoth Jalapeno f3 and two unknown pepper number 3 (which is the cayenne mj cross) A few days to harden off and they will go into the garden.

TT seeds has some nice offerings that may be of interest. I have used them for seeds and live roots/shrubs (blackberry & sea buckthorn).

Jimmy Nardello red and yellow, Lesya, Aji Fantasy, Aji Amarillo, Hangjiou Solar Flare #3 (space pepper), Caramel 7 Pot (the 2 runts - trying to refresh some old seed). Mostly sweeter and milder stuff this year, because I still have plenty of hot sauce. Just put into double-cups because gnats are getting into the holes in the cup bottoms.
