and do you think area 51 is the best bang for my buck and is it going to out perform hps if i cram the same amount of watts into a room?
Is it the "best" maybe, just one of the few choices out there....

Optic Led
Pacific Light Technologies

If I was going to do a 4x4, I would start with only 8 W90's....so if you cram 1k watts of LED into a 4x4, it can out yield a 1k HPS, as it is simply delivering more photons watt per watt.

Watt for watt a51 will beat hps all day and on top will produce better quality. That said I would go with about 30-40 watts per square foot of the w90. That would definitely produce some nice nugs and nice weight as well

also i am going to be in colorado and am only going to be able to flower six plants legally right at first before i get my caregivers license etc...what dimensions would you recommend for six plants and how many of the w90s if i wanted to get the biggest possible yield i could pull from six plants

How big can they be and stop be considered veg? If no limit grow some monster ass trees. 50 gallon containers of chow mix. 2 plus units per plant. I'd do 9 w90s per plant lol.

Bonjour
You said you have an investor...so if you go diy...why don't you buy directly the best cob available atm???
Cxb 3590...for 16sq/ft = 30×16=480w so 3 pannels of 200w with dimming option...about 1100 $ for 600 real watt and very efficient.
I have never built anything before my 4 pannels and thanks to the good advices and others build...everything is going fine since...
Have a great day ★

Hell for the price of 9 W90's you could build a small greenhouse and plant some monsters in 55 gallon trash cans using 0 watts. The sun is hard to beat if you live in a cooler climate.
^THIS^ all day .....................if not, i would stick with UL approved fixtures for peace of mind in a commercial setting, no cob panels yet unfortunately==== coming soooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnn?????

Ouch, no love

little jacob you seem to really know what your doing. I am a total noobie at all this stuff i used to know electrical theory somewhat but i've pretty much forgotten it all. I am going to start a grow in Colorado in February where i will be able to legally grow 12 plants but only 6 flower and 6 veg at any given time. I would like to build my own LEDs for the flower room and at some point the veg too. I was thinking a 6ft by 9ft flower room so each plant has a 3ftx3ft space...is this overkill? I've watched some of the youtube videos on how to build one of these LEDs and it doesn't look all that complicated..I obviously need to do more reading into the actual wiring and such but i have a few months to figure this out. I am trying to get the absolute maximum yield I can get out of six flowering plants. how many of these cxb 3590s would i need in this room...money is not that much of a concern...i'm not trying to throw it away but i can afford to spend what i need to and i want to do it right the first time so i'm not wanting to upgrade later..any info you can give me will be greatly appreciated
