I'm ready to start my adventure into the ponics journey. I would like your advice on which system is best for a beginner to start in: hydroponics, aeroponics or aquaponics? also what stores do you recommend for me to buy my equipment?

I started off with dwc but quickly switched to a drip system with coco/perlite. I wanted to do rdwc but the bulkheads etc seemed unreliable and I couldn’t afford a leak, so drip it was and so far I love it. Cheap, easy and effective.
that's awesome, is there a particular brand and store that you buy your coco? what about other grow media? any recommendations on the type of lights and monitoring systems?

I bought my coco and perlite on Amazon, the coco I use is the general hydroponics cocotek. I use and like the HLG 600 R-spec light along with a few extra small no name strips for side lighting (I have 6 10w strips). I use Blue Lab pens for Ph and EC. I’m not necessarily saying what I am using is best, but it’s what I’m using now and works for me.

I know I'm late to the party but for ease of use I recommend flood tray hydroponics with Tupur Royal Gold, it's coco with biochar mixed in to provide superior buffering for both pH and EC.

No one has discussed lighting. What are you planning to use?
