Which size pot will i need to get the best of yield out of lowryder#2

I'm going to give lowryder#2 a shot but i need to know what size pot to use because i've seen it yield next to nothing like half oz a plant in small pots and seen it yield like 36g in bigger pots.

I have always been under the impression that the bigger the pot the better, because the roots will have more room to stretch out and grow bigger. I am not sure though.

I've got some 3 gal. pots, though I've heard 5, 10, 15 are better!
