When to top ?

Sooo guys my plants entered flowering and i was wondering when i shud top my plant.
Is it before flowering like in the vegging stage or is it beginning of flowering ?

supposed to be before you start flowering, different strains react to topping differently. Some you can top from the beginning (2nd set of fully develped leaves) up until the flowering stage. If you just started flowering, I've heard of people pushing their plants back into vegetation, and then you could top, but it will slow down your growth time. I suggest letting it flower, do more research, then next grow go at it like a pro. youtube has alot of videos about growing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chMcJE8n8QU

Yeah I would stay away from topping in flower. If you want to top because your plant is getting too tall, or you want more of a bush just tie the top down to the side. But like the previous postsaid, you really want to do all your topping during veg.

Anything that may cause stress should be done during veg. Depends how big you plan to veg her.. Smaller plants you want to top at the 3rd node. Optionally, when the two new tops come up, do a FIM instead of a 2nd topping.

you have to top a while before flower. Once in flower you can try to tie the tops of your plants down (LST). But you have to be careful. I once tried and I snapped the stalk. It really messed up the timing and quality of everything above the snap (and everything below the snap was too far away from my light so it doubly sucked).
