When to Harvest Vanilla Kush?

My Vanilla Kush plants have been flowering for 6 weeks. They have thousands of white hairs and I've noticed over the last week that a few amber hairs have started on the bottom of the buds. Should I wait 2 or 3 more weeks before cutting them? Once you touch them they leave a citrus almost lemon smell on your fingers. The picture of them on the box shows red, orange and white hairs. Should I wait until I see this?

Thats shitty you got a box all i got was a seed shaped cardboard with a plastic deal with seeds in it. You should wait till most or all of the pistils ( white hairs ) have turned orange or red or brown what ever you wanna call it and the trich's ( tiny crystals on the leaves ) are milky to amber. youll need a magnifier preferable 60-100x zoom but i think 30 will do. im thinking you should wait and you will be rewarded with fatter buds and better smoke. just my opinion.

Just for me, How much did your vk strech once you flowered them. Mine seem to be geting extremly streched out and i have a 1000 watt light siting 6 inches above it. also please submit a photo i wanna see. I havnt seen much about the strain on here.

Thanks for the info you gave me. I'm very green to this growing thang and have been reading book after book on how to grow for over a year.
Just a hobby for me but seems to be very rewarding.

Also to answer your question, my V Kush did stretch. I kept my 250 HPS 3 or 4 inches above it at all times but it still stretchered. But it looks awesome.
The LSD plant I have next to it is unreal.......

looks good. the shape is just like mine. I am pretty new to growing myself so i dont have any advice to give really just let her go till all those white pistils turn orange and the trichs are partially amber.

A closeup "macro" shot is what is needed for someone here to give you good advise.
