What magnification of loupe should i get?

bought to order a loupe but wondering 30x, 60x, or 100x?

I got a 30x and it was useless. I dont have any vision problems and damn I could barely make out the trichomes with it. I would get atleast the 60 but if I could do it all over Id get the 100x for sure.

I have a 40x and it works well, 60x would probably be perfect, 100x is a lot unless u want to look at each individual trichrome

anyone use a cheap 20-40$ digi microscope? they look cool

I just got the one from Radioshack I think it was like 12$ or something, great deal have used it each time.

this is what most home growers use, i have been using it for like 10 years and it still good. it does 60x-100x

It's pretty cool and seems to work well but I haven't played with it too much yet.


I've heard the 420 scope is pretty good (60-100X) but haven't tried it myself. I have this one http://www.amazon.com/Lighted-illuminated-pocket-Microscope-adjustment/dp/B001CWJ4JI/ref=pd_sim_indust_5 (30X) and it works pretty good. It sure ain't nothin' special, but it works


To answer the OP more directly, 30-60X would be my recommendation
