ok i found this stand with the switch and plug ins and this light on top of it andit looked as if id seen one like this some where else..or something like it..but anyway the bulb says Q500 T3/cl/cd

Looks like a halogen lamp. Did it come with a ballast? Don't think it will do much for you.

yes it is a halogen and you shouldnt use it. it snot the right spectrum, it produces more heat than usable light

looks like a quartzs light good for working out side at night not good for growing. it procuces lots of heat. little to no groth specturm
