What do you think? Help me out :)

I've got a 5x5x6.5 Grow Den tent and a 1000w air cooled hood..
Besides from current heat issues trying to be resolved, which i'm planning on getting an actual exhaust fan for proper ventilation, i'm hoping the temps will average from 74-85.. I'll be running lights at night to help as well.

Anyways with everything in l place (in the future were speaking of :blsmoke:) Temps around 74-86 Humidity 40%-50%??
The 1000watter
A few fans in the room
440cfm fan

I'm planning on trying a scrog method along with topping them, this is my first grow, i'm thinking on either 15-20 gallon smart pots, 6 of them (keepin it legal  good feeling) and was wondering what is your guy's and gal's tips, ideas, comments anything on how to achive the best results, watering them and good nutes nutes and such and what are the results i'm likley to see first go around. Thanks in advance!bongsmilie

You are going to have a huge rh and temp prob..you are going to need a high powered exhaust fan wih a cool tube exhaust pulling heat from the lamp also. And an intake (great idea to run at night its cooler yes, and you are there to watch it incase something goes down)
20 g pots! Just think how much water you will be dumping in that tent...I'd do 2- 48 gallon tubs or just one and build your scrog on that. Add a dehumidifier. Fan of course to keep the tops cool. Soil with nutes in (for no brainer easy start, not MG). A bottle of neem. A good nute line. Im sure im forgetting many other little things here , but Im frosted as fuck and this took me 20 min to hammer outbongsmilie

What would be the cause of temp/ rh problems? And how would I deal with thoes the best I can without ac.
I got a booser fan at first thinking it would work for exhaust  so, I was thinking id still put it to use for intake, also I have an inline exhaust fan on the way in the mail 440 cfm 2740 rpm, that should be enough for 5x5x6.5 i'm thinking?
I already got the 20g pots :???: so ill be using thoes, got them with the intention of having wider bushy-er not as tall of growth, the pot wider than it is deep, Hoping that logic holds up, i wasn't thinking about water intake as much as I was thinking about having 6 nice fat pretty ladies in their own world I guess xD
I was thinking of going roots organics soil, just because a buddy of mine seemed to have a good time with it and I don't know the difference beteween soils very much yet, I don't know what nutrients would be good though or should I just go with roots organics nute lineup?

I think its best to use same soil same nutes .....get all your equipment set up and do a dry run for a couple days checkiing temps etc

Those are huge pots dude. I'm using roughly 7 gal pots and through first week of flower each of my bushes are almost 4 feet wide. I'm running out of room with only four plants.

Yeah, I ended up switching the order to 10 gallon pots instead.. So hopefully that will be better, do you think having 6 10 gallons in my 5x5x6 would get overgrown? With SCROG and topping and plant growth control.

Do you think the 10 gallons will still be fine though? Or is there something more efficient/better about using a smaller pot? Im only going for 6 plants

At this point I think I might be going for the 10.. I'm still debating for 7 or 10 though, 10 gallons seem to fill up the part of my tent where they will be almost perfectly in 2 rows of 3 but the 7's would give them a little room between eachother, 5 just seems to small to me for only 6 plants for some reason but I don't know it tis my first time growing and iv'e only been around outdoor plants mostly

For your space the 7 might be better as you can work in between them. Root wise you'd have to be growing monsters to fill the tens, but it really won't hurt anything to use them. Work your way up in pot size though. Seedling or clone in Dixie cup or similar size container, then transplant to 1 or 2 gal, then
when they fill those transplant up
again to 5, then up again to to tens. Not good for tiny baby plant to be sitting in that much soil from the start.

I thought 5g would be good for my gals but they out grew them in 25 days.

Yeah im starting to think the 7 gallons might be good, i'm planning on having a scrog net on them so I won't be able to go inbetween them anyways, I'm starting from seed too Chocolate kush and White skunk:bigjoint::D why is it not good to start in the pot youll be using the whole time? Or atleast just a dixie cup.

why feed a ten gallon pot with all that water and nutes when all you need for a seedling is a solo cup amount of medium and a small amount of water/nutes.it doesn't hurt it's just a huge waste and I wouldn't want to move around and work on a little seedling in that huge pot.I've grown monsters in 5 gallon imo 7gallon is more than enough for an indoor grow.
I was always told one gallon of medium per week of veg.

Takes too much water, too long to dry out. By the time the roots reach bottom of pots all the goodness in your soil has been watered down. Weed roots like their soil to get dry, then watered. Hard to do with big ass pots. Some people do big pots from the start but I would imagine
the consensus on here would be to
step up in pot size. There are better
explanations of why somewhere in
these forums. Anybody else have any input on this issue?

Good rule of thumb, although im in 7g for 25 days veg. Roots grew fast on these ones.
