how do you boil water with no heat? if you have no heat wouldnt it just be water in a pot?

like jarin pickles. bud in hot jar lid on put in a water bath covered by 1" of water for 10 min..... take it out and once it cools it is in a vacuum???? just a thought... not sure what it would do but ching ching

The moisture would evaporate more quickly in a vacuum, but that's not really what you want.

Ya, water will boil away(evaporate) if there isn't enough atmospheric pressure to sustain the molecule.

You still want the moisture to leave SLOWLY, whether the buds are in open air or in a vacuum. There are still chemical and biological processes going on after you harvest (think of cut flowers that continue to blossom). These processes require moisture. Quick drying (however it's done) removes moisture before these processes have had time to finish. Once the buds are dry, there's no going back.

I could see in a storage situation but not drying or curing.... to create a vacuum you need an enclosed space put wet un in that space the moisture has nowhere to go it's trapped like the bud is.... it will not draw moisture out of the bud
