Of course ppm levels matter my friend. Unless you want to lock out your plants you need to keep your levels in check. If your ppm level is to high, you can burn your plants and lock them up. Your reading of 50 ppm is perfect for growing. Anything over 150 is a high level that would may want to avoid. R/O would be the simple easy fix for levels to high.Depending on what nutrients you pick, you might not even go over 1,000 ppm's your entire grow. I never go over 1,600 ppm's in flower myself.
