Vegging Blue Dream: leaves wrinkled, canoeing up

Hello and happy 2019!

Got 2 plants in 1x1x2 meter (3x3x6 feet) tent: HSO Blue Dream and Blimburn Sour D.

Sour D is doing great without any signs of stress.
Blue Dream have these wrinkled, canoeing leaves going on for 2 weeks now. At some point stopped, but now new growth have them again.
I know it can be heat stress, so I put fan blowing closer to this plant tops and light, but no change so far...
Anyone have same experience, can share some advice please?

Plants age: both 21 days from seed
Soil: Coco from brick + perlite 20 %
Light: 400W dual HPS (light is 55cm/21 inch from plant tops)
Pots: 20L (5 gallon) air-pots
Nutes: Canna Coco A + B 1.5ml to 1L water; CalMag 1ml / 1L water
Watering over 1 day when pots feel half-dry
Temp: 30-32C/86-89F (I know it`s hot, but I have managed to grow in similar temp without problems before)

86 is hot and without knowing your humidity it's hard to know how hot it is. Are you running an oscillating fan to cool off the tops of your plants?

You paid close enough attention to call me out on my lack of it but yet you missed a very important question.

What is your humidity.

Look up VPD for indoor growing.

32c is not that hot. Its the intensity of the light causing the problems. Do as Hotrodharley said.

I dont measure humidity, but it is normal, I think

Plants are swetting a bit on leaves sometimes. I also have one open water container there.

Not measuring anything, no matter what, is plain crazy!

Open water container does shit and I've tested it. If you really want to help humidity add a wet towel hanging near fan.

You need a humidistat

Just because you make something work doesn't mean it's right.

Im sure your 100% correct but remember these plants are equatorial and some of us have to do what we can with what we have. I grow in an uninsulated shed in Aussie. Lucky its one of the cooler areas some of the guys in the aussie thread are growing in mid 40'sC...

this was flowered in 35c plus.

Thanks a lot for input! Yeah, I will see about getting more humidity there for veg period an raise the light more. Although I thought this 55-60cm is max and enough far from tops, but seems not. I will raise another 10cm and let's see...

I'm not as much a believer in light height as hotrod but he knows that already. I'm pretty sure he has a lot more experience then me though. Don't doubt me though because I'm a google search pro. :grin:

you also don't want the fan causing wind burn on the leaves. You want lots of air movement but oscillating.

you can have the light very low, but not when you have heat/ intensity stress. I often run a 600w HPS at something like 8 inchers, but not when its 32.6c in the tent as it is atm.

The trouble with a VPD chart is it generalisers and those that can reliably stick within the guidelines run AC....so....
In veg ill take high humidity with high temps any day.- like the equatorial regions.. But I don't want that in late flower..

I understand you are trying to help and I think that's fantastic but in the real world growers just grow. Its not rocket science and its an easy plant to grow that is very hard to kill.
If the OP had AC he wouldn't have temps of 30plus C.

I have one regular small fan there, blowing between plant tops and light (just in one direction/not oscillating). I have one exact same one without use at home aswell. I didnt want to wind-dry the air and plant leaves in tent...
Maybe I should still put it in there?
